That's what always cracks me up about his constant references to "I've only spent $X amount on campaign and Candidate Y spent enough to choke a rhino."
No kidding guy, you don't need to spend money when the media is constantly saying "WTF did Donald just say?" and reporting on it for days on end. So wham, bam, thank you ma'am, free coverage and free campaign exposure. And other than the Pope comments the other day, he really hasn't gone off the deep end making comments since getting a comfortable lead. He has run a brilliant campaign by making the media report on him and give him the most exposure of any candidate.
So yes, he is really smart by making as controversial comments as he can and letting the media campaign for him.
He got his campaign off ground when he said he'd secure the border 1st. The establishment wasn't even talking about it. That's why they are getting their clock cleaned
How smart is Donald J. Trump?
He's not only somehow duped serious national media into legitimizing and dignifying his campaign of casual bigotry and hate by treating him as a serious presidential candidate, but he's also duped millions of Americans into thinking that illegal immigration, a problem that was much more demanding two decades ago, is the biggest problem facing this country today.
So either Donald J. Trump is smarter than the rest of us, or we're all just so stupid it doesn't make any difference whether he's smarter or not.
Illegal immigration is currently of the least actual concern it has been in several decades, which makes Trump's campaign even more of a joke.

What's it like on your planet?
Any intelligent life there?
As the Department of Homeland Security continues to pour money into border security, evidence is emerging that illegal immigration flows have fallen to their lowest level in at least two decades. The nations population of illegal immigrants, which more than tripled, to 12.2 million, between 1990 and 2007, has dropped by about 1 million, according to demographers at the Pew Research Center.
I agree with some of this but I think all the Trump critics who think it's bigotry and hate are missing the point.
I'd argue that Sanders is his mirror image and if Trump is living on bigotry/hate then the same must be said of Sanders (bigotry and hate towards the rich and corporations).
What do both have in common? They are not part of the party machines. People on both sides are angry at the state of the country and squarely blame politicians for getting us there. The Sanders supporters simply have different boogeymen than the Trump supporters.
It's not about hate and bigotry - it's about dissatisfaction with the political machine that is dysfunctional. Neither is the right person to fix it but both seem like the best choice among lousy choices to take it on.
You think Sanders' message is one of hate for the rich? I guess you could look at it that way. I tend to look at it more like a guy who is upset with the wealthy demanding they take a bigger role in giving back to a nation that has given them so much. That this message, however, may unintentionally encourage some of his followers to hate the wealthy is probably a given.

Just because a guy who looks like an orangutan says it doesn't make it true.
which is ironic coming from a guy who didn't have a job until he was 40 so most likely didn't contirbute shyt to the economy. WTF
