There is a difference in voting for Trump because of his alleged liberal tendencies and him flipping voters because of how great it's going to be.

He'll flip some Dems. How many and whether it offsets some conservatives is hard to say

If there is no constitutional basis for the Senate to vote on a nominee - and the Senate majority have stated that they won't consider an Obama nominee - then it ain't happening.

The GOP is spineless and caves at nearly every opportunity. I really don't take much stock in what they say

Outside a caucus site in Nevada.

Why does this remind me of one of the greatest films or all time?

Definitely, not that it matters much in the grand scheme. A pissed off and largely misguided electorate has apparently chosen Trump. I'm not sure he can be stopped at this point.

The similarities between this year and 2008 are astounding.

Protectionists. And saying protectionists hate foreigners is like saying opponents of Obama are racist.

Globalisation has happened, people should get over it. Protectionism is a ridiculous - you only become prosperous in this world if there is true free trade. I think maybe one of the only areas that you'll find where Friedman and Krugman were in agreement was their unequivocal opposition to protectionism. Not sure how many Dems are 'protectionists' per se and will vote for Trump on that basis - I'd hazard a guess that the total is negligible.

You asked who those Dems would be and I told you. because dems are much more likely to be protectionist

Do you want another liberal justice on the Supreme Court? Vote for Trump.

Pretty simple.

Rubio is the only viable path to not getting a liberal Supreme Court justice.

As a foreigner I'm more interested in economic and foreign policy. But I have studied American politics since university and having another liberal justice would be intolerable to most conservatives in America.

Yea man like W did such a bang up job with his picks. Miers? Roberts? You want me to vote for the backup plan to Ws awkward brother? Not happening

LOL if you don't like Roberts then I'd love to see your reaction to HRC's pick/s. Cause that's who will be picking the next justice if Trump is the GOP nom.

Yep, but I think folks are angrier this cycle. Serious anger across ideologies. And sometimes decisions made in anger are not the wisest.

Yeah, people are angry at the establishment. Look at approval ratings for Washington. It's healthy to get an outsider to blow up the incestuous cess pool that Washington has become

I agree. And I've honestly never seen the country, much less political parties, this divided in my lifetime. And that division has caused serious anger on all fronts. And you are correct that is shows in the candidates being put forward and the dirty nonsense going on. I mean, who would have ever expected:

A businessman
An avowed socialist
Two first term Senators
And a media Mogul (considering)

All running for President?

Not only all running, one of them WILL be President. Scary stuff.
