Underclassman Eval
STRENGTHS: Possesses good length with long arms and a well-built frame with room to physically develop. Not a take on linebacker, but flashes the ability to use hands and get off of blocks but will need to improve strength. He can really run and chase with range. Agile in space.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT: Can be a bit hesitant and let play develop at times, rather than getting downhill and being physical at point of attack. he is physical, but must be more of a hammer. Has strong hands and will wrap up ball carrier when given the angle, but we would like to see more explosive, drive through in solo tackles.
BOTTOM LINE: Gray displays good potential as a two-way player at this stage. At RB, he is a load as a slashing power runner. Most likely a defensive prospect for the next level as an outside linebacker. May be a hybrid type defender who can put his hand in the ground if he continues to get bigger and stronger.
