The Most Frightening Aspect of the GOP Debate

Just because something benefits private business does not preclude it from benefiting the general public at the same time...like railroads that benefit private business and the general public. Or are you against railroads also?

That's a stupid argument. I've already shown that railroads (The Great Nothern, which was the model for the railroad in atlas shrugged) can be built without emminent domain.

I'm not against railroads. I'm against giving special privileges to business.

Well railroads were also built using eminent domain. So if you are against eminent domain for private business, then you should also be against those railroads that were built using eminent domain.

You keep acting like I'm anti railroad, and it's a stupid argument. And most of the railroads that did use emminent domain went broke. Emminent domain is t necessary for railroads.

It's only necessary for cronyism

There are some who think Trump said those things because SC is an open primary and with a big win he can slam the door on the others.

Also Reagan got a LOT of Dem voters. Was he a Republican?
And before you say anything, no I'm not in any way shape or form calling DT RR.

If you are anti-eminent domain, then to stay consistent you must also be against all the railroads that used eminent domain, whether currently in operation or not.

Here's the thing with Trump, so far we only have his past to go on, back when he publicly supported many liberal ideas. He has yet to lay out any real details on his policy initiatives, just a bunch of soundbites without substance.

I will admit he hasn't given a lot of details. But as far as his donations etc to libs I don't have much of an issue. Businessmen in NYC have to play a certain game to succeed. Half the hedge fund guys and Wall Street hot shots donate millions and support for libs.

Much like the current resident of the White House did.

"Hope and Change" >:/ "Make America Great Again."

His support of liberals and their initiatives goes beyond donations.

Actually Obama told us all exactly what he intended. Anyone who is surprised by Obama didn't listen to him.

Ok so then you agree you are against railroads...specifically the ones built using eminent domain.

Lol I'm not against railroads. Because emminent domain isn't necessary to build railroads. Idk why this is so hard for you

I never said eminent domain is necessary to build railroads. I said railroads were in-fact built using eminent domain. So if you are against eminent domain, then you are necessarily against those railroads that were built using eminent domain.

Yet funny how some of the same ones who cry that Obama is ruining the country are so far up Trump's behind they know what he had for breakfast.

As I posted. The ONLY way anyone could NOT know what Obama was going to do is if they didn't listen too him. He's done exactly what he set out to do.
And no, Trump and Obama are totally different. Not even close to being the same.

Agreed. Let's dispel this notion that Barack Obama doesn't know what he's doing. He knows exactly what he's doing.

What are you even trying to say? I'm against a railroad? I'm against the use of big government to build them, yes.

I'm just saying that if you are truly against eminent domain, then to stay consistent you must also be against anything built using eminent domain. Because that is one of the major purposes of eminent domain...to build things on land purchased through eminent domain.
