Cam was indefensible a lot of last night. I can respect you going to bat for your favorite player, but you constantly attempting to explain away his behavior makes you look a little silly. Jmo.

I have repeatedly said that he deserves all the criticism from last night. He earned it.

I can't stand pile on mentality that's so prevalent in today's social media culture. You can't ever talk about things. You just have to pick a side.

I'm not allowed to say that Cam's actions were unacceptable but at the same time have an opinion that isn't full on hate for the guy. Everything today has to be all in one way or another. It's stupid.

I'm not explaining away his behavior. Yeah, he should have dove for that ball. I didn't think he was giving up on the play though.

Cam doesn't like piling on either. Probably why he jumped away from the loose football.

Yeah, here's me constantly going to bat for him.....

I only brought it up because I get on Twitter and here and see several posts with the "how you like those apples" mentality. Calling him "scum" Newton. Stuff like that. Just seems like people would love to cram his nose in this loss if they could and would love to do a little dab dance to his face.

Not saying Cam didn't ask for that cause he did. But people who don't like sore winners shouldn't be sore winners.

That's what I think. Every single DB dances after a PBU. Every sack is celebrated with a dance. WRs have danced in the end zone for years.

Cam doing it as a QB makes people uncomfortable. That is my take.

Anyway, I think if you're gonna be a leader you've got to handle some things better if you're Cam.

Just saw a clip from the Cam presser. As a fan of Cam's I gotta say, not a good look Cam. Can't do that. Doesn't matter if you're a showboat or not, you gotta take your medicine when you lose, especially as the QB. The fact that he is a showoff and now doesn't want to face the music just makes him look like a sore loser.

Criticism of his actions in the press conference is justified. You're the leader of the NFC champions and the MVP of the NFL. You can't act like that.

I hope he learns from this and comes back better than ever next season.

Also, Peyton is the GOAT.

As you can see, I try to stay away from the absolutes in talking about him. I like him but I can also be critical. Everything today has to devolve into a "pick a side" discussion and it drives me nuts.

He deserves lots of criticism for his actions and play last night. I will be the first to admit that. That doesn't mean I have to agree with every negative thing that is said about him. The guy is a remarkable player. He had an incredible year and does some great things. He came up short in the super bowl and didn't want to face the music at the end.

Cam blows. And he's a loser. And a poor sport. And a piss poor role model.

That is all.

Wowzers.......

Peyton didn't even shake hands after the New Orleans Super Bowl.

What makes Cam a bad role model? Man doesn't run around getting in trouble. He walked out of one press conference. But he smiled and shook Peyton's hand on the field.

Well said. Cams about Cam. Loved watching him kick, cry and roll during his late game temper tantrum in the end zone. The guy is a bum.

Now he's a bum. Maybe someone like Manziel deserves that title. If Cam is a bum so is Brady. He stormed out of a press conference cursing and all but there wasn't a big uproar. The hate for Cam is hilarious. Man does a helluva lot more good than bad but it's hilarious how you all were waiting on him to fail. Smh

If Cam had stayed and said something stupid while he was emotional after the biggest loss of his career then you all would be dogging him even worse. Smart move by him. Walking off is much better than saying something stupid. Yeah you can say he should sit there and take it but when the media is asking the same questions over and over that you just answered what would you do? It's his job but oh well things happen at your job. Some days you need to go home early from work. It is what it is. He'll be back and better from this experience. I've never seen so much hate for a good player in the NFL. Tom Brady is the biggest crybaby you'll see but they let him go with a slap on the wrist media wise.

Great post BB.

I like both Peyton and Cam. I think both are humans and have/will continue to make mistakes in life. Nobody is perfect.

We have a habit of judging people in their worst moment.

Here's Peyton's comments on Cam last night....

"I'll tell ya', Cam couldn't have been nicer to me," he said. "He was extremely humble, congratulated me, wished me the best. I told him just congratulations on his outstanding season, and just what a great future he has ahead of him. He'll be back in that game, I can promise you."

I believe he actually left the presser because he was hearing what the Broncos players were saying about him in their interviews as they were taking place at the same time.

He left because one of the Broncos was right behind him give an interview. The Bronco said "we wanted to force them into passing downs because that was our best option" (or something similar).

They showed the video on ESPN this am. Cam paused and was obviously listening. The NFL should have separated the 2 teams for interviews.

Guy hates losing.

My only advice for him is...

If you love attention, don't get mad if it is sometimes negative.

Yep. I love the guy but like my momma said, "don't dish it out if you can't take it."

Cam apologists galore in here, Peyton called Brees immediately after the Super Bowl and congratulated him. He's never done any punk ass shat ya'll have condoned. If cam was a real man he'd have took the loss like a man but he didnt. It's a damn game. Russel Wilson was responsible for a loss at the end of a Super Bowl but he didn't act like a punk ass b!### last year. He took it like a man therefore I have respect for him. Respect is earned not given. The way Peyton has lived his life, he's definitely earned it. Cam's evasion of the fumble recovery is the unpardonable sin in all this. Anybody can showboat when things are clicking, but can you LEAD when the shat hits the fan? You certainly cant condoning less than 100% effort, or a modicum show of class for the GAME.
Git sum

It was widely written about that Peyton called Brees that night, apologized for not shaking his hand, and congratulated him on the win.

And that Brees was surrounded by reporters and Peyton didn't want to wade thru and steal his moment

That's the word but he can't leave the press conference. It is what it is though. Posters calling him a bum are hilarious. Dude is an outstanding football player. Reserve the bum title for real bums not the elite.
