Super Bowl 50: Broncos vs. Panthers

So has a 15-1 team lost a Super Bowl before now?

A 16-0 team has. 15-1 Vikings lost in NFC championship game in '98. So, maybe no other one loss team has lost SB. Wait, old NFL Colts only had one loss when they lost to Jets in SB III.

You can look into Manning's eyes and tell that he doesn't want to retire just yet. His passion for football is a great trait to have but retiring now would be the smart choice. His best years are behind him.

No, he could have plugged pizza, a car, or an insurance company. just don't like my football players to act like NASCAR drivers.

I have to agree with this. Not that have anything against what they do in there day to day lives.

Peytons biggest detractors said he didn't win enough Super Bowls. So are they crediting him with this win?

Winning Super Bowls is a team accomplishment. Clearly. Peyton is the best QB ever whether the Broncos won this game or not. Now it just makes his detractors that much more irrelevant

The Broncos just flat out wanted it more. See: Ginn coasting out of bounds rather than picking up the 3-4 yards that might have been the difference in that FG, Cam not diving on the fumble...

Great defensive effort and so awesome to see PM win #2.

Seemed to me to taking it in but planning to retire. Fact is, 7 more months from now he might have had to face real competition for the job.

I'd put him in the company of Favre, Montana, and Elway.
