This 2017 dream class is off to a rough start. I may be wrong but I can't think one elite TN prospect that we have the inside edge on.
I hate to bring bad news guys but here goes. Did some digging with my guy and asked what happened between Monday when I was told he was 100 percent committed to us and now. On his visit he talked with Amari Rogers and they are wanting to go to the same school and play together and that Clemson made him an offer he can't refuse. Not sure what that means. Next time I talk with him I'm gonna get him to elaborate a little on that but if NSD was today he would be headed to Clemson. This is all I know at this moment just passing along what I've heard. Whenever I hear more I'll be sure to pass it along.
I know it's hard to read kids, but honestly I would be surprised if he comes here. He just never appeared that interested in UT for whatever reason.
It seemed that Warrior was in a wait-and-see mode this year, and the situation with Tee Higgins may be no different. He and Rogers have got a team that just played for the national championship in their ears right now. If we live up to expectations this year, it would go a long way toward improving UT's chances with Higgins and maybe even Rogers too. Relationships and $ are important, but nothing really recruits like winning.
Team isn't the problem and Dobbs isn't the problem. Our lack of creativity to get playmakers at WR the ball is the problem. There's a reason Debord was visiting Clemson as soon as the season was over. He was there learning new passing concepts. We were extremely bland in the passing game and it's from play design not any personnel.
Didn't the same thing get said about Hurd and Malone in 2014? How about Phillips and Richmond in 2015?
Kids just love the attention. I have faith in Butch Jones closing on instate recruits.
Have we lost a top 100 instate prospect while Butch has been here? I don't think so.
