'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

Put Gillespie as lead recruiter. Don't let him leave the state actually.

Oh, and pay da man!!! Do not lose Gillespie.

You descirbe my opinion to a T. I'm not a DeBord fan. Him visiting Clemson tells me he knows he's got to improve. Let's see if it takes.

I assure you that the Clemson staff is visiting other programs as well. That's what coaches do. I wouldn't read efforts to improve as acknowledgment of failure.

Before you can make an attempt to solve a problem you have to recognize you've got a problem. If they haven't realized they've got a problem when it comes to the passing game, then we've got big problems.

Our problems in the passing game aren't related to debord IMO.

Our line doesn't pass block well. Our QB has trouble being consistently accurate. A few of our WR have not played up to their ability. We play too many WR as well IMO.

Looks like we could just focus on three states this year to recruit in. TN, Va, Ga. Tennessee, Virginia are both loaded this year, and we always need to be in Georgia.

This class could end up being top three of not number one if we have a good season. I think Tee still ends up here if he decides to play football. You end up with him, Gray, Trey smith, Stevens, Gibbs, Foster, Wade, Cosby, Richardson, and Chandler. That would be nuts and I think that's a really good possibility.

I think it's all that and DeBord. He never goes to the quick game to take pressure off the line. Never goes to where the the blitz is coming from whether it be safety, corner, or LB. Some of it is because we've not had an experienced QB coach. DeBord has done one thing, improved the run game. Our passing is really no better than when Butch arrived, maybe even regressed slightly on the long ball. Jmo

Butch's first year the passing struggles were blamed on the OL, WRs, QB.

In year two the passing game struggles were blamed on the OL, WRs,QB, and OC. New OC is hired.

Year three the passing game struggles were blamed on the WRs, abd QB. Also hired a new TE coach.

Maybe by year 5-6 they get the passing game figured out.

Please let this happen!

Auburn has offered and Pearl is recruiting him pretty hard. And CRB has offered him as well

I'm only guessing, but I'm assuming a Clemson offer for basketball may be tough to come by. If he wants to try out both sports, UT would be the way to go I'm sure.

I hate to say this but if tee wants to play basketball the allure of playing in the acc is much greater than playing in the sec

I think we are still in good position here. He just wants to be sure UT is still for him. Ut still leads here.

I think he's probably overwhelmed by the recruiting. Flattered that the No. 1 QB in the land is kissing his butt. And he may be a follower rather than a trail blazer, JMO. You know him better and hope you don't think I'm out of line.

No, I dont think you are out of line at all. Tee is a smart kid and Hunter is pressuring him to commit to Clem$on but Tee is not wanting to do that. I know people think CDS is clean but people need to open their eyes quite a bit. Those accusations about Gary getting benefits offered to him was not all untrue
