2016 Election

I don't even know if this was the thread where it was discussed, but as a Ron Paul supporter, campaign volunteer, etc, there's not a solitary chance in hell I vote for Marco Rubio.

I will show up in the general to vote for Rand Paul, Gary Johnson, and maybe John Kasich but that would be purely to "vote against" the democratic nominee and I loathe that voting mentality.

When it came down to crunch time, would you really forgo your opportunity to vote if it was close and Rubio's challenger was Hillary?

Trump is flipped my out on Twitter. He's accusing the Iowa GOP of giving the election to Cruz.

I'm kind of surprised Rand dropped out so quickly. I thought he had some momentum after that last debate.

Yeah, not sure what the deal is there. My best guess is that like I've said before, he's running for 2020 and 2024 as much as he is running for 2016. He doesn't really have a chance for 2016 and he's getting out while his name is trending up. Might as well now instead of waiting until he becomes the butt of jokes? IDK

May be a money thing too. Fundraising has been weak

He knew his chances of winning were slim so he he focused himself on his senate re-election.

If we're being honest with ourselves, anyone who wasn't delusional knew that Rand stood little chance after Trump gained so much momentum. He reframed the primary race.

Between Trump, the swindling huckster from Calgary who tries to play issues both ways while branding himself as an "outsider" because everyone hates his guts, and a socialist loon who combines the Pauls' stance on civil liberties with free stuff, Rand didn't have much of a chance of gaining traction. Add that to his foreign policy, which I'm not sure people examined thoroughly enough before condemning him as an isolationist. It's a different approach, but I'm not sure it's wrong. But ultimately, very few really want fiscal conservatism.

I sure didn't. How much does your electronic wall cost?
I have no idea. I would guess that at some point in time the operation of said wal would be far cheaper than having to employ thousands of border guards to maintain watch over a physical wall though. Maybe not though.
