With us only taking 3 instate kids this year, I'll be concerned with most of the instate guys next class. As much as I want to think snubbing the state talent this year won't affect next year, we'll see how it goes. I think it was a mistake.
So you advocate taking not good players just for the hell of it? This year's instate group wasn't very good at all with UT only being interested in about 4 guys.
I think the issue would be I feel there were SEC caliber talent that wasn't pushed for by our staff. I get they liked other guys and took them. The fact schools like Ole Miss, A&M, ND, Michigan, UCLA, Clemson, Oregon and others wanted those "not good players" tells me we could have seen a lot of them succeed in UT Orange.
