He most likely won't, hence my question. Great coaches recruit, motivate, scheme, and teach at a high level. Good coaches usually are good at 3 of the four. Holly is good at zero. Her recruiting is suffering, she can't scheme her way out of a wet paper bag, she obviously can't motivate, and she's not proven she can teach the game. Everyone knows where this is headed. They are getting ready to fall out of the polls for the first time in this century (or close to it I think). It's a failed experiment.

Again, imo, it's only a matter of time, so how far do you let it go before you do something? The problem here is the further you let it slip the harder it is to climb out. Men's basketball can turn around quicker and fans will jump back on quicker than women's basketball IMO. If she missed the tournament this year and then next year, it will be a 10 year rebuild and could likely never recover.

The bolded is a HUGE overreaction. It's women's basketball. While the parity in women's hoops has gotten a lot better over the years there's not that many programs that take it seriously and UT takes it more serious than anyone not named UCONN. You could completely nuke that program, hire the right coach and win a national championship in under 10 years.

He's not gonna fire her this year. She went 30-6 last year and went to the elite 8. They could still make a good run in the tournament this year for sure.

The meltdown by the lady vol fans is silly.

Remember the kid that was all everything in juco and did really nothing at Miss. State. Think his last name was Autry. I wary of most juco linemen. They rarely come in and flat out dominate.

A lot of water under the bridge in recruiting since the days of yore with the Three Amigos.

Denico Autry was his name. A 4* four years ago and he is playing for the Raiders in the NFL.

There's nothing to be "wary of" based on him.

Will Kongbo be Javon Kearse? I doubt it, but we need as many great defensive linemen as we can get.

It's not silly. Keep in mind I'm not a big Lady Vols fan either. Holly is taking this program to lows never seen in modern women's basketball. She will survive this year because of two reasons, 1. The expense, and 2. Because Hart doesn't care. It's not a question of if it's a question of when.

As to my point about the team coming back, I'm not talking about being successful on the court I'm talking about fan support. Imo it is much harder in women's basketball to get them back once you lose them.

Ziti, I respect you as a poster and enjoy your insight but if you really think Holly Warlick can coach at this level I have to take pause. What I see on that court is remenicent of church league. And the good Lord knows I've played my share of church league.

No doubt it's bigger than football but does it get worse without it. Is the question

IMO most kids with issues get worse when athletics are no longer in their lives

If he is an addict (and I'm guessing he is since it has already screwed up his life and he continues to do it) He has to hit his rock bottom before he truly wants to stop (hoping he don't die in the process), and he must truly want to stop before he stops. People can't throw an addict into rehab and expect it to work if the addict is not willing to work at it themselves. Taking football away might be the answer, it may not, but he's probably going to get a whole lot worse before anything gets better.

I kinda agree on the reasoning for Hart not pulling the trigger. He's not gonna pay the buyout and he's not worried about losing fan interest. Honestly, I think they have a group of hard core fans and the majority of Tennessee fans couldn't name 3 players on the roster. I don't think he's concerned about that part of it.

I watch ZERO women's basketball. I know nothing of Holly's coaching. I know she won 30 games a year ago and has several years on her contract. That's enough to know that she's not getting fired and probably shouldn't be even with no buyout.

Remember what happened the last time the no.1 offense matched up against the no.1 defense in the super bowl? The team with the best defense won 43-8. Peyton and the Broncos have more than a shot at winning this game.

That Denver defense was not good that year. Carolina is a much more complete team than that Denver team that played Seattle. Carolina defense is a top defense in the league and very agressive. A much better defense than the one the Broncos offense just had issue with. I give the defenses a push in this matchup and go with the better playmaking QB in Newton. Take off the orange sunglasses. I'd love for Peyton to ride out as champion but there is a reason they will be underdogs. It will come down to Cam vs Peyton and is put my money on Cam making a play with how unstoppable he is. He made the legion of boom look like pop warner football

Fair enough but again it's not an question of if it's when.

C'mon man..that Seattle defense is not the Legion of Boom anymore. Two years ago that D was awesome and scary. They are a shadow of that now.

Stole this picture from Twitter, Happy Birthday to Dobbs.

But that clown! Left side over the kids shoulder. What in the what! Ah no!

From a former Meth and Heroin addict...I've been free 17 years...all glory to God. He doesn't throw the clay away. I'm glad my family didn't give up on me Sarge.

I am very glad you were able to get past your addiction. That indeed makes you strong. I have seen far too many addicts (Family) relapse when life gets too tough. It is one thing to get help and recover but it is insanity to repeat those same mistakes over and over. I have three nieces ranging from 9 to 17 that want nothing to do with their mother because she was never there.

Holly is the Larry Coker of women's basketball. Inherited a great roster, achieved early success, but has no idea how to build the program in her own way. The cracks in the foundation started appearing last season and now the team is in danger of completely crumbling.

Once an addict always an addict. It's a disease. It is an never ending fight for those that have it. They need a strong support system of sober people. That is why it is imperative that they not go back to the same crew they always hang with. If they hang out with same friends then recovery becomes pointless. I have never had to deal with it so I always thought it was easy to start and stop things until i had close family member go through it.

Except Coker has a heavy ring. Holly doesn't. It would be a little easier to forgive if she did.
