I haven't followed recruiting much this year, but why do some here say we may lead? Just curious. Its hard to beat out Alabama on the defensive side of the ball. Think Shoop is playing a part?

A week or two ago many felt like there was no chance. Now people think we have a chance because

1. Alabama's best pass rusher (who many assume Kongbo was/is being recruited to replace) is coming back for his senior year.

2. Kongbo ha recently said the main reason he decommitted was at the behest of his parents, who wanted him to keep things open as long as he was still taking visits.

3. The staff still seems to be putting the full court press on him and he still seems very interested in us.

Honestly, I'm not sure we end up adding him. But it does seem like we'll at least make him seriously consider this before he decides.
