Ok...im confused. Are we talking about the 2016 season (next year), or the 2017 season? Surely we're not actually talking about the 2017 season.

If our odds are that good to win the NC, that means our odds of getting to the playoff are even better. Probably 4-1 or 5-1. What's more, with the SEC playing as well as they did this year in Bowl games, there is a reasonable chance that 2 SEC make the playoffs. The most likely scenario where this would occur is if the SEC East and SEC West champs both have one loss and split their regular season and SEC championship games (i.e. we beat Bama at Neyland and they beat us in the SECCG or vice versa). Imagine a scenario where we split our regular season and SEC championship games with Bama, and then we play them a 3rd time for all the marbles, and WIN! Talk about some sad Bama fans. Go Vols!
That my friend would be the best season ever!!!

By looking at the virtual seating season ticket site, there are a few seats... There will be 2 available here in a section or there in another, but not many...then the next week 8 seats together in DD come available... Not sure how it works, I can't remember when the deadline is for donors... I'm trying to find 2 more decent seats for whoever I decide to bring with me and the Mrs... Most seem to be on the South end, which is understandable... I may call and see what may come available, but it looks like season tickets will be completely out

One of the good guys??? A loser that lurks on other teams message boards?

He's not a loser and he doesn't "lurk" anywhere. You know nothing whatsoever about this person, so, why are you being this rude and ignorant attacking him like you are? Are you really that much of a jerk? Surely not.... or does hiding behind a keyboard make you (in your mind) the village badass?? Surely not....

I love to see the love for Tennessee and all the potential that they have for next year (Shoop, JRM return, Dobbs senior year, new TE coach etc.....)

saying all that this gets you nothing when the season ends
Auburn at the beginning of the year (with an all world DC and a slightly-hyped QB) was I think like 7-1 or 10-1 so there's that......

But Tennessee looks better on paper now than Auburn did then.

Tennessee and Michigan have the same odds and Ohio St is 10-1 but some way to early polls have Michigan as a Top 5 team and not Tennessee or Ohio St. I'd like to lay some money on Michigan doesn't even win the Big 10 next year.

Michigan is getting way too much hype considering the amount of upper classmen they're losing in the 2-deep. But whatever, it's all speculation either way.

I'm probably the most optimistic poster on VN, I just haven't gotten to 100 posts yet so I can't start a thread. I'm probably too optimistic. Not always realistic.

1. Have you met NationDom? :)

2. At 5 brief posts in just 5 minutes in just this one thread, you are clearly working hard to get there (to 100 posts) as quick as you can. I calculate you could be there before 3 p.m. if you hold that pace. Hehe, just giving you a little grief, have at 'er!

Fans that go and other teams message boards are losers, plain and simple. Would not be afraid to tell him to his face or yours. You hide behind a keyboard calling me a jerk.

Why don't you become a Gator fan too since you seem to be besties with him?

Easy, coach. Lawgator has been on here for a long time and has posted some of the most insightful posts ever on this board. He's way cool and one of the good guys...

While I don't disagreee with all of his posts I will never agree with any statement saying a gator is "one of the good guys."

I'd make you 7 to 5 to win the East, 5 to 1 to win the SEC, 25 to 1 to make the playoffs, and 60 to 1 to win it all.

If you're saying it is 5 to 1 to win the SEC, why 25 to 1 to make the playoffs? Pretty sure a scenario where the SEC champion doesn't make the playoffs is unlikely, something like 1.1 to 1 that the SEC champion doesn't make the playoffs.

Vol Logic, your name says a lot. You are using logic here. Sorry, I just don't understand why anyone would go to a rivals message board daily. I have no interest in what Bama or Florida fans think. I will stay on my message board and hope they stay on theirs. Volpepper guy got all huffy about me calling him out. Sounds like a bromance brewing to me. I don't understand why Vol fans would ever care what he thinks. Go VOLS! 2016 should be special!

They are actually losing very few. Harbaugh now releases the roster by academic year, not football eligibility year. So while it looks like they have a bunch of seniors, they are actually juniors in eligibility. And they only lost one underclassman to the draft.

It's all moot anyway, because they'll lose to Ohio State in Columbus. Best bet is on OSU to win the Big 10 next year. MSU loses a lot also, and doesn't recruit like OSU or UM do.
