I do have high expectations. I expect to win the SEC East.
I expect to battle the SEC West team and maybe win
I expect a New Years Six Bowl game (maybe a CFP bowl)


BUT....preseason picks dont mean a hill of beans becuase there are alot of teams picked really high up in that category and end up losing 4-5-6 gamesd.

Look at Clemson they were middle of the road 12-14 ranked team and look were they ended up.

To me, this means we should be ranked 16th entering the 2016 season.

USC also had a ton of off the field problems last year. Had it not been for that who knows where they would've finished.

USC is, like Notre Dame, perennially over-rated. There's just something about those two schools and the pollsters. Should rarely take their pre-season rating seriously.

Tennessee's 15:1 odds probably break out somewhere along these lines:

-- Odds of winning the East: 2:3 (better than even odds) == 60%
-- Odds of winning the SEC if East champs: 2:1 == 33%
-- Odds of winning the NC if SEC champs: 2:1 == 33%

In total, odds of winning it all == .6 * .33 * .33 == .065 == 6.5% ~= 1 in 16 == 15:1

Something like that.

I'd make you 7 to 5 to win the East, 5 to 1 to win the SEC, 25 to 1 to make the playoffs, and 60 to 1 to win it all.

Thanks, but many would disagree. Its okay.

As to the merits, I just think every team has such a long slog, and injuries and bad luck mean that any team other than Alabama, Ohio State, or Clemson even, just has such a slim chance to end on top that 15 to 1 is way too short.

If it helps, I'd make Florida 4 to 1 to win the East, 15 to 1 to win the SEC, 70 to 1 to make the playoffs, and 200 to 1 to win it all.

I'm a poor old man on a very small disability but I have my Big Orange blood running and my Orange glasses on so I'm going to be totally crazy and scrape together $100. to bet on that.

We have a great coaching staff now.

We have the players and some talented depth now.

We're way overdue since 1998 for some good luck.

I seriously BELIEVE in Team 120.

JRM is back and will teach everyone that being good is the enemy of being GREAT.

The stars are aligning and our guys that will be Seniors and Juniors next season KNOW for a fact just how close they were this season so they will refuse to lose.

I just have to bet on my Tennessee footVol team for next season.

As to lawgator, he'll be both mad and sad but he will be the 1st one on here to offer us Congrats after we WIN over his team next season.

Undefeated going into the alaBubba game and Gameday will cover what could be a early peek at the SEC Championship game.

We're now running back to the Top on Rocky Top...VFL...GBO!!!
