I totally agree with this but with our presence all around Iran and our hostile relations, i get why they might have paranoia. They would want to verify this was an innocent accident. I think we can rest easy knowing they are indeed scared of us.

This is Obama's fault for .... wait, I mean, Obama should have demanded the release in the speech last night.... wait, what I really mean is that any bad thing happened because of Obama and any good thing happened despite Obama.... er, screw it. Obama is a Muslim!

It's not like its a violation of the Geneva and in no way are they violating international law. What's the problem?

Also this "mental anguish" is a bit of a stretch. They weren't caused any UNDUE mental anguish.

The Iranaians have learned that nothing will happen if they board our small boats and detain our sailors. Looking for more brazen acts to follow.

What are they supposed to do? They found the vessel in their waters. After all the events have unfolded, I don't have any problem with their actions. We would have done the same thing if an Iranian boat drifted into our waters.

The sailors have been released as it was reported yesterday they would be.

For you guys that are putting the US Government down for thos, I ask a simple question.

What should the USA do if 2 foreign military boats are discovered in US Waters?

Exactly. Also, posting a pic to social media is smart. The sailors did not appear to be under duress and the photo helps to calm everybody down so things don't escalate.

They could've emailed the photos to the pentagon. Plasting them on social media is outrageous

Agree. Thinking about the Russian plane that supposedly entered Turkish airspace. Obviously different circumstances because of an ongoing war there, but this could've gotten ugly and thankfully it didn't...

We would have not towed them without taking them "to our base" and arranging transfer and their faces would have been plastered everywhere. You are off your rocker suggesting that this would have been handled differently if the situation was reversed. And if the situation was reversed and we just simply "towed" their vessels to international waters, you would be one of the first people to lose their **** that we didn't detain those Muslims. You know it too

Depends on where their main fleet was operating and who they were.
