Question for the panel:

I was tied in the first round of playoffs at the end of yesterday's afternoon games. Nobody left for either team.

I check the tie breaker: it's bench points. I drop Jeremy Hill for AJ McCarron. Barring catastrophe, I should have just clinched a 2 point victory (would have lost by about 15 if I'd kept Hill).

So was that cheap or brilliant?

If you did that after the Sunday games were completed, I would vote you couldn't do that. It's not fair to the opponent if he couldn't make that move. Regardless, I believe you play your bench when the Sunday games start. That's our rule in my two leagues.

Any rules that bring the bench into play is ripe for manipulation. I'd just max out my qb's on the bench. I like decimal scoring in my leagues. The chances of a tie are extremely extremely low.

Must be something in the water. A week ago today, my wife and I welcomed our second child (baby girl this time)! Got out of the hospital late on Christmas Eve. Congrats again to you and yours. I'll be looking for his recruiting thread in about 16-17 years!

Stranger things have happened but all the buzz about Taylor from the staff is the only thing that makes me think it's even a possibility with Phillips.
