Manning linked to HGH by Documentary (key witness has recanted)

The only thing I worry about at this point is Congress having a stupid circus like they did with baseball. If guys in baseball were using roids, it was none of their business. And look how boring baseball has become since there aren't homerun races between Sosa and McGwire.

This could ruin the NFL as we know should Congress get involved, and seeing high profile names attached makes me think it won't be long before they do.

And let me add...if the newyork times or Washington post pick up the story, there will really be some credibility issues

Edit: also, are you really equating Al-Jazeera, a mouthpiece of MiddleEastern totalitarian/dictatorial regimes on par with Pravda, with FoxNews, which has dared to actually deviate from every other media outlet in the country and offer a conservative opinion (although much less and less lately) and include news stories that a person with a conservative political view would consider newsworthy as opposed to the other media outlets that go full-on full liberal 100% of the time. Come on man.

So damn tired of the "liberal media bias" argument from the right-wingers. It's just an easy out instead of having to make a real, intellectual argument. There are A LOT of very conservative/right-wing media outlets as well, but those don't get brought up because it doesn't advance the narrative of the right.

That's absolutely retarded. All one has to is look at the difference with the way the media handles allegations against Hillary or Obama compared to Trump or any Rebuplican front runner. There is very clearly a liberal media bias.

Baseball's labor union was in a safe little cocoon and wouldn't even talk about testing for PEDs. They didn't HAVE to. They won every labor fight. Congress raked them all over the coals and STILL it took an obnoxious number of positive tests (with ADVANCE NOTICE) to trigger the system they have in place. To simplify, baseball players were TOLD IN ADVANCE to stay clean until after a testing wave was completed...and they couldn't! They hold out for a very short phase and they wouldn't have testing...COULDN'T. The arrogance of the baseball union and their protective umbrella over it's constituents can in no way be equated to the NFL. Baseball owners were grateful for the intervention...they embraced it. Congress investigates NFL players for HGH? Goodell will stick it to the players and dare them to whimper. Vastly different power structures, these two leagues.

Change the title of the thread. The info is false and the da's at the huff post just ran with it anyway. The media just sucks.

There's too much money at stake for me to believe that medical staffs aren't going right up to the line with supplements, drugs etc. and over the line when they know they can get away with it.

They cross it all the time. Not to mention, I'm sure they know the testing times in the NFL. It is a major ordeal on the collegiate level. Most cycles by athletes will never be caught in college due to time, money, and well, they don't want to catch them. It is very easy to know the time window, based by drug, when an athlete will test positive.

For the general public, all you need to do is look at the supplement companies and the magazine companies and see who owns who. They will spike supplements.

That said, taking an injectable shot of AAS or HGH is much safer than people realize. The media has perpetuated fear (shocking, right?) based on government nonsense.

Per Ian Rapoport: "Peyton Manning has retained the services of former WH Press secretary Ari Fleischer, who now does crisis management. Peyton Manning spokesman Ari Fleischer told me Manning has never used HGH, never failed any league drug tests & this won't affect his status. Manning spokesman did say Peyton's wife was a patient at this anti-aging clinic in question. She had a prescription, wouldn't say for what."

If true, will Peyton have his name removed from the dedicated places in Neyland?

Maybe, but it would tak a full confession by Manning after the release of a positive drug test from the NFL.

Manning says it's garbage so it's garbage!!

It's sad that a lot of people will view this as a sign of guilt even though he is trying to protect his image and reputation. He has had ongoing endorsement deals with Mastercard, Direct TV, Gatorade, Papa John's, Buick and Nationwide and has to defend his integrity. The burden of proof for these allegations shouldn't be on him at all. It should be with Al Jazeera and they have only provided the word of a flake who has admitted to lying.

That idiot Goodell will probably spend $5M and hundreds of hours looking into Peyton like he did with Brady. What a joke Goodell is.

I'd figure out what kind of lawsuits are available if I was Peyton Manning.

This is the only report I'm seeing as false, so how do we know this isn't false?

We should ask New England fans what they think about cheating.

It's pretty simple. If Charlie Sly wasn't working at the Guyer Institute in 2011 then the original report is false. He now says he only worked there as an intern in 2013 and that should be easy to verify.

HGH is also used to improve the levels of estrogen and progesterone in women and improves the libido. which could explain why his wife had a prescription.

...and for the record, she gave birth to twins on March 31, 2011. Another item missed among people finding it strange that she was receiving products from Guyer in her name.
