They're going to have to learn the hard way. The people backing this clown who calls himself a "conservative" will drive the GOP into the ground. Maybe a party worth voting for will rise out of the ashes - one that actually believes in limited government and ALL constitutional rights. When I see someone like Rubio outline a plan to overturn the gay marriage ruling, I just have to shake my head.

Here's a even better question that I think would be truly telling. In all honesty, if Obama hypothetically had a 3rd term, do any of you actually doubt he wouldn't win once again? And literally heads would explode on volnation (mine including) but by numbers turn out alone if it was Trump vs him he could probably do it again.

A 50%-49% loss with Rubio is better then a 57%- 43 loss with Trump. And the cause of Conservatism isn't set ablaze and tarnished by Rubio.

He would eviscerate Trump. No doubt in my mind.

On the other hand, I think a competent opponent could give him a good run, but Obama has run some of the best campaigns in modern political history. It would really depend on what happened over the next year, I guess, because his foreign policy really has been a disaster.

I agree with your assessment that all Liberals and all of those those people addicted to the welfare gravy train, and the Open Borders crowd, will all vote for Hillary, over Trump.

America's government was model after Greece and Rome, places where the game of politics was essential to the success of their civilizations and culture. This is American "Game of Thrones" Where you win elections or your country as you know it and your political party dies.

It has nothing to do with welfare or open borders. It's about giving them a better option. Its is our job to nominate someone who can articulate the cause of Conservatism and give these people a better option than liberalism.

Every member of the base of the GOP or Dems could turn out and vote and their candidate could still lose. Neither side has a base close to 50%. The POTUS election is decided by the moderate/swing voters in 6-8 states.

Sad display. These guys bashed Obama for his plan to defeat ISIS and i heard them pledging to do what is already being done.

Cruz is, far and away, the best on that stage. However, he had to do something to distance himself from the butthole reputation he has and he failed there. I don't know how he is going to do that, but his handlers better figure out quick.

Wrong. The GOP nominated a candidate in 2012 with the spine of a worm. Romney has never met a side of an issue he did not agree with at some point. That was Romney's problem.
