Doubtful. When he took the job, UF had two 5* and another Top 100 4* Qb. IIRC he only pushed for Francois and another QB. It wasn't a priority that cycle. Not sure what's so hard to understand here. Jones and Mac both will be OK without the other.

Lol. Just like he must have seen tape of Jones??? The same Jones not one of the Cali schools offered. No USC, Cal, Stanford or UCLA( may have offered late). He also got feedback from George Whitfield about the kid. Not sure what else you want. As for the Vandy transfer he was just added bc Driskel transferred. Seems you want a win over Mac so bad in anything that you keep harping on this. Jones wasn't what he wanted for his system. Pretty simple if you ask me.

I count actual wins...nice deflection. Interesting tidbit about George Whitfield...so Mac announced that a paid QB guru trashed SJ? Need more info for our fans. :) Sounds eerily like damage control. Was that announcement from Mac himself or his self appointed fan/guardians? I wouldn't have a problem with the "doesn't fit our offense" crutch if your coach hadn't offered Guarantano and now accepted Franks...DT QBs dude! Inconsistency begs me to "harp on it". :wavey:

Where were these QBs when Grier roided out? Sounds like his "priority "s were out of order...down to ONE 4 star QB...bad roster management.

Grier being on juice helped him so much. The throw versus Ole Miss to DRob where he was getting hit and still threw the ball to the end zone showed me all I needed to see. Juice may not completely help with arm strength but to take a hit like that and still get enough on that ball is BS......

And he's not what HG is trying to make him either. Should be fun watching them second year in Mac system. Teams will have something to scout.

Never said Whitfield trashed Jones. Now you're reaching. He got feedback on a few Elite 11guys including Jones and Francois. That came directing from Rivals. Mac and Whitfield go back to daya in Oaklank when George was an Offensive consultant. Jeez us, dude give it a rest.. I'm moving on. Pretty much like Mac and Jones have.

Landon Dickerson OT 4*
Nigel Warrior S 4*
Marquez Callaway ATH 4*
Donnie Corley WR 4*
Lavert Hill CB 4*
Velus Jones Jr. WR 3*
D'Andre Christmas-Giles DT 3*

and that is all. So, if those are our only 10 targets, which do we actually get? BTW, if we were to close with any 5 of those 10, we will be in very good shape.

You're an ok guy but you're a Gator fan on my team's message board. If I'm annoying you? I'm definitely onto something. You used the Whitfield reference on why Mac soured on Sheriron...doesn't sound like it could be remotely glowing. It seems like you backtrack to and fro without settling on anything consistent. I'm going to maintain that your coach massively erred and should apologize to your fanbase. I'll accept your silence as tacit approval. :)

Youve never seen jones play for one. And to act like Mac us some all knowing guru by not visiting him is premature and silly at best.

I don't understand what all the angst is about over Hunter Johnson de-comitting. I never thought that we would keep all 4 of Dormady, S. Jones, Guarantano, & Johnson anyway. Too many other good college teams like Clemson that can offer early PT & a lot less QB competition.
