Chaney and Pitman to UGA

It was a desperation hire for UGA since Eason is coming into town this weekend. It's not an upgrade.
Sam Pittman a desperation hire? He is without question the best Asst coach in all of football. Period
And all Chaney has done is improve the offensive out put by a huge margin in his stops.

Anyone who doesn't think bringing in Chaney and Pittman was a great move by Smart is fooling themselves. That was a great hire.
The single biggest mistake Jones has made is not doing whatever it took to keep Pittman. He is without question the very best Oline coach in football and he's a great recruiter.
UGA just got a helluva lot better.

I'd take both back tomorrow.

Let's keep it real boys. Both these guys are better at their respective positions, than the OL and OC Butch chose to keep /hire.

Yeah Chaney did wonders here and at Arkansas, which is precisely why he ended up at Pitt. Let's look at reality for a moment:
2015 UT offense #50 overall; 5th in SEC 423 ypg 34 ppg
2012 UT offense #35 overall; 3rd in SEC 476 ypg 36 ppg

2015 Rushing #24 overall; 2nd in SEC
2012 Rushing #72 overall; 9th in SEC

We all know what the UT offense was in 2012, throw it all over the field and rack up huge numbers agains lousy teams. We could not run the ball and Bray played when he wanted to. The 2015 offense has showed time and again that it can move the ball on good defenses. I will pass on the throw it 50 times a game and hope we can run it offense that will never work at UGA and it didn't work at Arkansas. By the way, the sign of a good oline is being able to run the ball and the best rushing year under Chaney was 52nd in the NCAA which was 2009, Kiffin ran the offense then. But let's keep pretending CBJ doesn't know what he is doing and neither does Debord.

2010 Rushing 102nd overall
2011 Rushing 116th overall
2012 Rushing 72nd overall

He did slightly better at Arkansas than Bajakian last year and slightly worse in 2013. Debord did head and shoulders above them both so yes it is a devastating hire haha.

Bray threw for 250+ yards against UF, UGA and SCar; 3 teams that went a combined 34-6. I wouldn't say those are lousy teams that he racked up yards against.

WOW! That is impressive and we rushed for how many yards?

Just some more stats for you and the other cavemen, last three years for each coordinator:
Chaney
2015 total offense 78th; rushing 51st
2014 total offense 58th; rushing 28th
2013 total offense 103rd; rushing 38th

Debord
2015 total offense 50th; rushing 24th
2007 total offense 59th; rushing 44th
2006 total offense 36th; rushing 18th

Keep posting your idiocy, Debord outperformed them both in 5 out of 6 categories.

What about 2012 for Chaney?
#35 total offense
#21 passing and recieving

Point is Chaney has had high scoring offenses and has had good track record coaching QB's. Those are not characteristics I was hoping to see UGA go for.

To be fair, you can't compare our hurry up offense to that Arky offense that waits until 5 seconds on the game clock to take a snap with total offense stats. You would need to use points per possession or yards per Play. Something like that
