JMO - Kerby gets drafted by the 6th round and will be primarily be a G. His versatility at all positions adds to his value.

I don't know what round Sutton will need to be projected for him to leave. If it is 1st round, he ain't getting that grade IMO. Personally I think he will leave if he gets a 2nd round grade. I think he's a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

As for JRM, I do not think he will get a grade for 2nd round or better. He's a bit of a tweener at the next level in my eyes. The catch is that I don't think he improves his stock all that much with another year under his belt, regardless of what grade he is given.

IF these guys think this is a playoff team then yes their stock could go up from the press. I think this is a playoff team not sure what coaches are selling or what players believe.

Sutton is projected in the late 2nd/3rd. The combine could improve or potentially lower his grade. JRM...he is a fantastic college OLB. What do you think about a safety in the NFL or will he be an undersized OLB?

Good point.

That's outta my league honestly. I look at the guy and see he is undersized for his position. Beyond that, I don't know. He is a fantastic football player. Hope we get another year out of him and Cam also.

My uneducated guess would be a niche player who specializes as an OLB on passing downs and is a special teams ace. If he can add 15-20 lbs maybe he can be an every down LB. I don't see the safety thing working out for him. Again, just a very uneducated guess.

Evan Berry or CP as a return man?
I think CP by a mile.

CP coupled with this special teams coordinator would be unfair. He literally would have already generated pooch kicks by the fourth game.

No disrespect to Evan but CP did all that damage with a doofus for a coach.

Just a thought for slow times till the bowl game...

Here is a pitch I would make to JRM. I feel his position with the highest ceiling in the NFL is SS. With Randolph gone next year, let JRM know you would like to move him back to SS so he can showcase his skills there and help elevate his draft status at a position he is better fit to play in the NFL. Design and workout program specifically designed for this transition which would focus on leaning him up, increasing his speed(solid 4.5 of better), and elevating his cover skills. Of course, the other pitch is the possibility of playing for an SEC and NC championship as well. However, the sale of increasing his draft status and increased revenue would be the clincher.

Since we have some good young players coming up the coaches feel good about at the LB positions, this would be an alternative to help keep a great leader and player with the team next year while also helping his future as well.

As for the other safeties on the roster, let the chips fall where they may.

Discuss amongst yourselves...

Interesting thought. That would put an excellent tackler at the last line of defense and certainly up that competition at LB. I would miss his knack for sniffing out a screen play and taking the running backs lunch money.
