UNC just got jobbed by the refs.
QUOTE=engineerVOL;12167054]Offsides?

Only three players on north side of kicker - required to have 4 on each side of kicker....

Edit - Catbone noticed UNC only had ten players on the field - anyone else see that? Looks like that 4th player on the north side of the kicker didn't make it onto the field!

Michigan State is this year's Auburn. They won a couple of fluky games (Michigan and Ohio State). I think Clemson runs circles around them.

You're assuming Clemson is good. I think the committee bumps Michigan State to 3 ahead of Oklahoma setting up a Clemson/Oklahoma Alabama/Michigan State semi-final.

Alabama blows out Michigan State and Oklahoma blows out Clemson. Alabama and Oklahoma meet in the final for an epic game.

Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp has agreed in principle to be head coach at South Carolina. (via @SInow)

Football Scoop is saying USCe is hiring Rich Rod- I hope not. Although everyone else seems to point toward Muschamp. If it is Chump, why do you think they haven't announced yet?

Rich Rod turned them down. They are set to hire Muschamp.

I can't stand him, but I think Kiffin would have been a better choice. Is anyone considering him at all?

A lot of money not to at the least wonder about the fix being in.

It's terrible!! I agree! Something fishy is going on in the ref circle within these conferences. You can almost call it in any game with stakes like last night. I agree with whoever said to take all the refs out of the conferences and have a full neutral body of refs, who answer only to the NCAA. I'm tired of watching games, knowing it's not fully the players who will decide the fate of the game, especially since it has happened to us multiple times over the last few years.

Agree. I think that's exactly what happens. The National Championship game could be made of 2 of our losses, who we had on the ropes and could have won. Tennessee football is back!

Though I've said Muschamp has potential there, I like this hire A WHOLE lot more than what things were looking like. Rich Rod had me a little concerned.

Depending on what kind of a coach McElwain really is, and how good Smart ends up being, we could be entering a dynasty era.

Refs still having conference affiliation seems dumb in the playoff era when conferences are desperate to get in, especially when championship games can be the deciding factor. Make them a neutral body that answers only to the NCAA at the very least.

I would guess that would be all about money. But, I agree.

I am shocked about how fired up South Carolina fans are about hiring Muschamp over on their boards. They are talking about stealing everyones recruits. Dud couldn't win at UF. Lots of them are off on their history as well, they keep saying UF saddled him with Weis and that's why he failed. Weis was there for one season.

Also rumored that Roper is going to be the OC. Good Lord this has been a glorious week for Tennessee fans. Same coaches, worse players, good luck South Carolina.

Yeah, I think they are rationalizing this hire. There are a few who aren't very happy about it but they are the minority. Muschamp inherited a top 5 roster and ran it into the ground. At USC he's inheriting a top 60 roster at best, and quite likely the worst in the SEC.
