Don't underestimate how much a piss poor roster will turn off potential coaches. USCe is in dire straits.

Refs still having conference affiliation seems dumb in the playoff era when conferences are desperate to get in, especially when championship games can be the deciding factor. Make them a neutral body that answers only to the NCAA at the very least.

That is true. They fell fast. And they will be even worse next year. No Skai Moore, no Brandon Wilds, and no Pharoh Cooper. Lose 3 OL and their best DT.

I say A&M back to Big 12, the rest from the west join TN, FL, and GA from the east and have a 9 team conference. Everybody plays everybody once a year, 8 games, then 4 non conference and no championship game, winner to Playoffs. Stacked and every week is elimination. Never happen $$.
