tee martin needs to take a long walk off a short pier. He completely disrespected tennessee when he showed up in knoxville sporting his usc hooded sweatshirt (in the airport), seemed interested in the job, turned it down, and then played along with lane kiffin's bs by posting his tennessee job turn down on twitter.

At that point, his street sign should have been taken down and replaced with a true vfl such as al wilson or inky johnson. Tee martin is a trojan, not a vfl imo. Oh... And his comment about jalen hurd was immature, disrespectful, and just plain wrong.

100% absolute truth

There were 10 other guys on the field with him. Yes he played good, but HE didn't singlehandedly win the NC.
Right it was the D but he was on that team. I watched that game and he was pretty darn good. That 98 team was the only NC team in my life time. I was privileged and I doubt it will ever be duplicated.

Screw Martin. And what makes him a good coach anyway?

How about he has a WR pretty much drafted in the first or second round every year? He, has JuJu Smith right now....freshman all-American last year, has 74 catches for 1300 yds and 10 tds this year?

How about a couple of Pac-12 Recruiter of the year Awards, one by Rivals, one by Scout?

We'll never forget the championship he was part of but the way he's acted lately I don't see him ever being welcomed back.

This Tee hate is totally unfounded. UT has never seriously pursued Tee nor made him a sincere offer to coach here. Butch wanted to bring in his own guy, so he extended a token offer to Tee to appease the fanbase. It was a lateral offer-- no upgrade in position, with only a small salary bump. SC immediately countered with a much more competitive offer, and UT made no attempt to negotiate. It was clear which school and which coach valued Tee more.

If Kiffin had stayed at UT another year, it's likely he would have hired Tee... and it's likely Tee would have come. But Butch brings in people from his own coaching tree. He's not going to approach Tee or anybody else with a Tennessee pedigree. If Coach Z leaves, look for another DeBordesque hire.

If Peyton decides to coach QB's you can bet the farm CBJ will not hesitate:crazy:

Think most Vol fans would support Tee if he came back.
I wonder about his decision making though.
Calling Hurd soft.
showing up in Knoxville with a USCw hoodie.
IMO he was a game manager type QB in 98 like a lot of forgettable Bama QB's behind Alabama's machine for Nattys, Mcellroy etal. Yes UT was a total team in 98.
