Azzanni Out, Martin In?

Butch is a WR coach and we know he was personally working with that position this year.

Which, if true as "reported", is another reason to let Z go and find an actual WR coach who can get a very talented corps up to speed.

Isn't Tennessee ranked number one in punt returns? Isn't Z coaching the punt return unit? Didn't the player who made those returns sincerely credit the hard work of the entire unit, in what sounded like much more than the usual team speak?

Unless the new staff keeps him, it looks like Tee will be looking for work soon. If any coach needs to be replaced, I think it's Azzanni. I've heard multiple in the know folks say that the WRs aren't getting open or finishing their routes.

Tee's son goes to Catholic, and is a 2017 USC commit right now.

Based on what I am told, as long as Butch Jones is our coach, Tee Martin will not be a member of the staff.

Tee may be my all time favorite Vol. Maybe thru the years
he's grown a little tired of hearing how great Peyton Manning was here and He, Tee is the one that closed the deal, that brought the national championship home. I consider it an honor to have Tee come back to Tennessee.

You guys are being dumbas##es. Who cares if he was being a di## with the USC shirt. Having him around to shape Dormady and other potential qb's would be great.

Whom has he touched and turned into gold? Serious question because I don't care about USC and don't follow their players.

Tee Martin is one of my all time favorite Vols as well. My questions are, is he a good coach and can he recruit? If he's an upgrade to what we have then I say hire him.

Martin? You mean the deadbeat dad that chose kiffin over us when we were trying to bring him home and rebuild? F him! And f killin too!

:)I wonder if all you Tee haters would turn on Peyton if he was ask to coach and said no.
If any of you lived UT football in 1998 you would not be bashing him just because he thought USC was a better opportunity. What you should be measuring is his resume of coaching years to date.:cray::cray:

Why would you want Peyton coaching the WRs?

I was thinking about QB's. Isn't Debord having to double as our QB's coach? It would be nice to get Peyton in to work with Josh, QD and co. while letting Debord focus strictly on game planning and play calling.

Wow OP and whoever bumped this thread both need a good slap

Ok? Deep seated thing?

Sheridan coached the QBs.

In 4 out of the last 5 NFL drafts Tee has had a WR go in the first 2 rounds. Does that mean he's a great coach? No, but it means he at least can get elite talent to play at an elite leve even if there is mediocre QB play. Can't say that much for Azzani. He can't get 4 and 5 star talent to play at a walk-on level. How much production of our offense have our WRs accounted for? Probably not much. WR U is no more under CZA. Tee may be a d/ck, but he's a better coach than CZA.

Tee never impressed me at QB in 1998 after Manning left. Yeah they won a NC but he had a hell of a team around him that year and the Arkansas QB decided to fumble at the wrong time.

I would hope there are much better candidates than Tee to bring in if we get a vacancy. Leave Tee in CA.

LWSVOL Who is a bit of an insider stated the following "Forget Tee. Don't see he and Butch working with each other. both mis-led the other in their dealings so be tough to work out."
