I also think Dobbs is hurt. After is one big run, he seemed like he had a limp

This. It appears to be worse on cuts. Maybe that is why deboring ran him straight ahead most of the time when he called a keeper. The normal zone read was open all night because Mizzou was crashing down inside. He finally let him run it when they needed a first down on that last drive.

Score doesn't show it, but that game was completely lopsided last night. We dominated, and then went into shut down mode at the start of the 4th. Defense looks stout right now.

Kirkland is one of the most talented defensive freshman I have ever seen. Gets to the ball is a hurry and with bad intentions. Very instinctive. Knack for taking ball away.

If Maybin comes back we will have the best front 7 in SEC east next year.

We will have one of the best starting front 7s in the nation.

Good series of tweets from Jimmy. Thanks Jimmy!...

@JimmyHyams: UT's average starting drive v. Missouri was the 38.8 yard line; for Missouri 19.4. Each team had 13 possessions, thus about 250 hidden yards

@JimmyHyams: UT punter Trevor Daniel had punts downed at the Missouri 5, 10, 8 and 8. Two others had Mizzou starting at its own 20.

@JimmyHyams: UT’s defense held Missouri to five plays or less on 10 of 13 possessions, with six three-and-outs. Missouri totaled 223 yards.

@JimmyHyams: UT snapped a 19-game losing streak against top 10 defenses in the nation with the win over Missouri. Last previous win: LSU in 2005.

@JimmyHyams: UT's Josh Dobbs had 54 rush yards v. Missouri, running his record to 9-1 when he rushes for at least 35 yards in the last 2 years.

Actually P-Willy was thrown to in the end zone.

Unless there was a second pass which I don't think there was that is wrong

CZa and Dobbs both jumped Pearson after the play for running the wrong route. The ball fell closer to Williams but it was intended for Pearson had he run the correct route

Hypothetically speaking, would you rather have the playing style we have now, or would you rather play like Baylor (all offense, no defense)?

I promised myself after 2012 I would never wish for that playing style again. I'll take the W's over high-flying trapeze acts all day and twice on Sunday's.

No, hes correct. He targeted Williams in the back, right corner of the endzone unless #7 just happened to be running a few feet away from the ball.

Was there a 2nd throw?

Because the play I am talking about yes it looked that way but the ball really wasn't close to Williams in the right side of the end zone. He just happened to be the closest to the ball

Pearson mistakenly cut his route off on that play

I agree that the D looked awesome last night. But that is the type of play calling that has gotten us beat in the past. They have to learn from their past mistakes.

Hopefully next year, we can either open up the playbook or ADD to it when play calling. Cause the same teams that beat us last year will watch film and if we don't come up with a passing attack will just load the box. And we can't go 3 and out and wear out our great D. We need to keep them fresh at all cost.

Don't know if any of you saw it, but Mark Richt looked like a guy that wanted to be anywhere else besides a sideline last night at the end of their game with Ga Southern.

With the UGA and LSU coaching situations possibly in flux, and all of the other coaching dominos left to fall, does anyone think our staff may have been slowing down on the recruiting front to see what players may be lookin around?

Trying to find justification for the relatively (compared to the last 2 classes) meh recruiting class thus far.

The one you're talking about was to Pearson. Due to Pearson running the wrong route, it made it look like a really bad pass to PWilly.

There are two sides to this. Sure, they seemed to be calling conservative in the 3rd and 4th and if this was at the beginning of the season you probably would be right. However, the defense has gotten much better, especially in the secondary. Unless we turned the ball over on offense, they were not going to score 3 times on our defense last night.

And to this point, someone once said that three things can happen when you pass, and two of them are bad.
