Maybe. But Dobbs is still a better runner. Not sure Mayfield makes that catch against UF and takes it to the endzone. But he does pass it better.

Let's hope JG makes it unstoppable. But we just have to hope Dobbs just hits a few more passes next year. If he hits just 3 long plays in certain games, it could mean 1-2 more wins. 10 wins should be attainable next year.

I have a ton of hope for JG. He looks like Dobbs on steroids. Just as fast with a cannon for an arm.

Dobbs is awfully hard to bring down when he gets to the goal line. Has knack for picking up crucial 1st downs with his feet. I'm happy to have him play for the Vols.

Man Mayfield in our offense would get broken in half. He can throw but he's not near the runner Dobbs is. Dude is an elite playmaker at QB. Maybe not as consistent as you would want as a passer but he better than you all give him credit for. It's hilarious how people love wanting to trade players. Mayfield looked like garbage at Neyland until our defense got tired from being left out to dry by conservative play calling

Despite all the squabbles here and there over the scheme, playcalling, and conservative second-half philosophy,, we are legitimately an "ideal Butch Jones QB" (see: Dan LeFevour) away from being playoffs-bound, or at the very least a very strong threat to beat Alabama in ATL. Probably a decent WR coach away as well, but that's not quite as important.

I love Dobbs, and he's absolutely the best option for this offense right now, but we leave probably 2 TDs on the field every game with him.

Also think we leave TD's on the field with Debord calling plays also. We just don't take any shots down field, but its not like anyone can catch them either (Malone)

Don't disagree with that. UF, UGA, Bama, and A&M. Butch has shown he can beat Richt with less talent, and UF and Bama are at home. Get it done.

He was close to hauling in that one, he should have fought for it. 5-stars fight for that ball and catch it 90 percent of the time. He's never caught a 50-50 ball. Our biggest weakness is wide receiver performance.

I love dobbs as much as the next guy but Mayfield is much better thrower and as far as running to get away from the rush, he is better in that area too. We had him so many times and he always slipped out. Dobbs pocket presence is terrible. He has to improve on that and his accuracy and he will be good to go.

Anybody see McEwain's post game press conference? He doesn't pull any punches. He was brutally honest. I find it hard to hate that guy like I normally would any Florida coach. He compared his players to dead fish in the seafood section at Winn Dixie.
