If fans really want change. Boycott the games. That's all Amy Adams cares about is ticket sells. Empty stadium will cause a big uproar.

They make more money from TV contracts and revenue sharing than ticket sales. While I don't think they don't care, I'd say it's fair to say it's not their first priority or concern.

Agree. Locker was a bad pick. I'm not a big Titans fan at all, no big deal that they lose all the time. The organization has been a joke for a long time. Until the team sells it will only remain in the cellar or almost get to 8-8 seasons. Last dynamic player was Chris Johnson. Mariota has a chance if he can survive the OL. There's no real threat on offense and hasn't been in a long time. Drafting has been awful over the years. The organization is a wash. Needs to be sold now. I wish the FedEx guy in Memphis would buy them. I don't go to games, but feel sorry for my friends and fans that buy season tickets to watch this abysmal team play..

I will never understand why NFL teams do not draft best available player vs reaching at specific positions especially those teams that have so many holes. If all you need is a QB then I get it but it makes no sense to handcuff yourself to a guy for years because you reached to high for him and he didn't deserve to be taking so high. The teams that are successful are those that draft best player available because needs change every year.

Well that sucks. Just remembered a quote from her saying something about how she's worried about ticket sales because of the losing. This organization consistently makes horrible decisions. Fans not showing up will definitely cause panic. But of course fans will keep going to get that number 3 win. Pathetic.

Agree. Look at the Patriots. They have it down to fit their needs and don't get stuck with over valued players. They're always in contention because of how well they draft and trade. Titans go in the complete opposite direction. Pretty embarrassing.

My point was, how did all the supposed "experts" get it so wrong when so many average fans could see it so easily? Relative to past, successful 1st round picks, Locker had tons of interceptions, tons of incompletions, not very many yards, and not very many TD, and all that paired with mediocre defenses they played against. Just because qb is an important position doesn't mean you should throw away picks on sub par players who play that position.
Scouting football players isn't an exact science. There are a LOT of external factors that make it hard to do.

Locker was a QB who had all of the physical tools to succeed, but struggled with accuracy in college. But he also had an atrocious OL for much of his career, so many thought that his accuracy could be developed if he ever had a clean pocket to work with.

As for "experts" missing and "casual fans" getting it right, it just happens sometimes. Nobody can possibly predict exactly how every player will develop once they make it to the league. Some guys with less than ideal measurables do really well because they have dedication and/or a great feel for the game. Some guys who have all the tools just never figure things out. Some guys who have all the tools and weren't so great in college ascend to a greater level than anybody would've thought possible. It's just not an exact science. If it was, then there would be no busts or great pick ups in the mid-late rounds. There have been A LOT of 1st round QBs who bust in the past and as long as the NFL's rules sty relatively similar that trend will continue. It's simply the most important position in today's game. If you have a **** you think you can take with a QB whom you think you can develop, you take that risk. That's just how the league works.

It's also worth noting that many of the draft experts aren't exactly working off of who is the best player when they make their projections. They're projecting what teams will do based on the players available.

Mel Kiper or Todd Mcshay predicting Locker would go #25 overall to Seattle wasn't them saying they think Locker is the 25th best player. It's them saying that they think the Seahawks wanted/needed a QB badly enough to use that pick on Jake Locker.

He had a very low wonderlic for a QB, I'm surprised he was projected top 40 and then taken top 12 with that

Meh, the Wonderlic is overrated. Ryan Fitzpatrick got a perfect score. Christian Ponder and Blaine Gabbert had great scores that year. Cam newton was just one point higher than Locker.

Just look at the names and numbers of all the players who scored better than Peyton (28) and you'll see how unimportant the Wonderlic is.

It is definately a crap shoot. QB is so tough at NFL level. There are really only about 7 prized qb's in the league.

I definately would take 2 second and 1 third round pick over a high first round any day. You are tripling your odds to get a good player even if you reduce your odds of getting a great player.

Whoevee said Titans have to fix front office is right though. Until you are making good personell decisions and geting your key deals done it doesn't matter what coach. My understanding is Titans have poured money at the oline but it doesn't show.

Which is exactly why the front office is in greater need of an overhaul than the team, though it's close.

It's arguably top 3 worst in the NFL. Top picks that bust, FA's that are given millions and bust, head coaches that bust, the list goes on...and on...and on.

Munch should have never been the HC here, they should have hired someone else and begged and pleaded with him to stay on and whomever they chose as HC (likely to bust, anyway) to stay as OL coach.

That being said, they probably would have screwed that up too...

Sigh...

Yeah but how's the field?

Did Warmack bust? I thought he was alright but honestly haven't followed Tennessee much since Fisher left.

Chris Henry is another fan "I told you so" for that franchise. Does anybody even remember him?

From the ff a snippet from hubbs on the field

Of course, one of the biggest topics of the week has been the playing conditions on Shields-Watkins Field last week against North Texas and what they might be like next week against Vanderbilt. On Monday, officials met again to examine the conditions and what could be done about them. Director of the field Darren Seybold and his boss director of facilities Kevin Zurcher met with former field manager Bobby Campbell, along with a professor from the turf grass program on the ag campus, inside Neyland Stadium to examine things. It was the first time Campbell has been consulted but Seybold has had conversations with a couple of professors from the ag campus in the past. Tennessee officials also have consulted with the Tennessee Titans, which once had the NFL's worst field but since has greatly improved a playing surface that receives lots of extra use.

The bottom line from most experts we have spoken with is that there's basically nothing they can do to “fix” the field this coming week for Vanderbilt --- and suffice to say people on campus are intently monitoring the weather forecast for next week as well, we're told, breathing a mixed sigh of relief for the kickoff time. From an atmosphere and recruiting standpoint, a night game would have been preferable. But there was concern about potential field conditions at night --- especially if temps were at or below freezing.

To improve playing conditions there remains talk of putting sand on the field like they did the practice field (as we mentioned in last week's war room). That however is not a complete fix as we saw guys continue to slip some on the practice field this week.

The focus and the goal at this point is to seek any option to make the field better for next Saturday then following the season there will be more discussions on trying to fix and prevent the issues next season. Those we have spoken with indicate no one is advocating or pushing for an artificial surface. However as it was said to Volquest this week, if the choice is the conditions as they are now and turf then the answer is going to be different.

Once the season is over, it's going to be very interesting to see who they consult with and how that's done to prepare for 2016.

In addition to examining all things field, Tennessee has examined the cleats as well to make sure they aren't contributing to the problem.

“We want to make sure we look at every possible reason for why our players might not be able to play at full speed,” one source said.

And the issues of the field has been brought up to the others as well. It's our understanding that either this year or in a recent year, a visiting SEC team filed a letter with the league office in regards to Tennessee's field, according to a source.

Hubbs is such an idiot for mentioning this. Any fool can tell that the cleats have nothing to so with this issue. Anybody mentioning it should be sent to parts of VN where the craziness can't be seen

So GA has ratted us out.

Twitter troll job got me, someone created a very convincing fake Barrett Sallee account and got me hook line and sinker.

I hate Twitter. No longer in it for that reason. During our last coaching search, some Vandy Troll named Conway Tweety (awesome name BTW) trolled the hell out of Vol fans.
