Was there a problem in the locker room pregame? Or is Butch trying to prevent it becoming a big party and players losing focus?

Probably more of the latter. Players who are not actually playing in the game on game day can be small distraction (not as big a focus on the game) I'm sure, add in several players not playing and outsiders probably easy to get distracted.

Getting pretty pissed reading this Hurd talk for 74 this morning.

Shame on him for bringing that stuff here even if it's true.

Talk about something to be used in recruiting against us. It's a gold mine when head to head with us for a back

I'm done with Nashville as of next summer. I love the city but hate what it is becoming. The housing prices and daily gridlock aren't at all compatible with what is essentially a 4th or 5th tier city.

I would love to get out of here. But I'm unfortunately stuck here for now. The city has well grown out of its infrastructure and housing prices are ridiculous. But that's what happens with growth. It's sad. Hope you find a better place to live. My goal is to either be in Western Carolina or Colorado. Gotta be in the mountains..

I think you know which one... 🔥

Has he said more stuff?

To me, Colorado is one of the most pretty places here in North America. Get myself a log cabin with a fire pit, huge flatscreen tv, comfy couch/recliner, and let it snow. Would be in one of my happy places.

What all did that poster say Bruin? Hopefully it's just frustration which we all have felt certainly.

This post has the most info but there is more

I appreciate the concern, but the fact is, JH doesn't care about the fan's perception of him. If he leaves, he'll probably be the most hated player in TN history, so do you really think he cares?

He loves TN and loves TN fans (especially), but staying in this system and continuing to run behind this line will continue to be the reason why "threads like this" are even posted. Is he good enough to make an All-SEC team? Is he good enough? Lol!

He's at the point where he's just so damn tired of getting hammered at or behind the line of scrimmage with regularity (2 straight years now), and you have to wonder what he would do in a different offense behind a different line. Everyone on this board has thought about it and felt he's being used the wrong way in this system, so you don't think he's thinking about it too?

I don't believe that he should leave, and most all of his family feels that way, but at the end of the day, this is his decision and his future at stake.

I feel like I'm lacking a lot of context in this Missouri thing, and after reading about it for a few minutes I don't understand it any better than I did in the beginning.

I get that Missouri is a shrieking kettle right now given the stuff going on in Ferguson, but at UM, what was Wolfe supposed to do? He has set up programs to promote racial diversity. Unfortunately, it's pretty impossible to stop ignorant people from speaking. I don't understand how Wolfe has become the scapegoat for the actions of others; presumably, he didn't encourage or in any way condone the behavior, so how is he responsible? And what does a **** swastika have to do with any of it?

Also, "check your ____ privilege" is quickly becoming one of my least favorite phrases.

This post was in response to travis Stephens and one that I would make my number one bullet point if I was recruiting against us for an elite back

74:

I'd agree with you, J, but most of the time Jalen has no idea if he's getting the ball or not to the very last minute. There are not many designed runs plays. It's all based off of whether Dobbs decides to keep or not. By default, you're a little tentative and not hit the hole as quick or hard as you should when you're not 100% sure what the play is even going to be.

So, did he not know Butch ran a read option?

Terrible ethics posting that kind of stuff by 74.

I think he probably is being held back by the system BUT he gets held back more by transferring at this point.

That would make no sense for him to transfer next season! I'm sure Butch knows he's frustrated yes? Any insiders bringing an opinion? This is worrisome- he's a huge part of this offense and this team. Hopefully it's being blown out of proportion.

I never really considered that point but it is very valid. It's like telling your QB to drop back to pass but only throw it if the WR decides to run his route.
