Yeah, it seems like a great situation for Pinkel actually. He can let this drag out and avoid more SEC losses. Also gets recruiting points for standing up for his players.

Aren't there only 30 players boycotting? Haven't really read anything about it today, but that's what I thought it was originally, they should still be able to play. If I was one of the 50 something players not boycotting I would be pissed.

It's more like 50+

One thing I noticed yesterday, our 1st team, on both sides, were gassed in the second half. That's the first time I've really seen that this year.

Depth.

Yeah. As fans we tend to attribute poor second halves to bad halftime adjustments, etc. But I agree with you. We have just looked gassed at times. Glad our schedule has softened up and bowl eligibility is virtually guaranteed.

The OL being so banged up makes it hard to run as well. Plus, Jones and Hall are going to have games where they look like freshmen.

Dooley finished at Tennessee with a 15-21 record.

Butch will likely never even be close to .500 for the rest of his tenure here, let alone below it by several games.

Definitely agree. I thought that was an odd caveat in the UT/UGA game a few weeks back. The CBJ and Dooley eras just look and feel so dramatically different, even if the records at times have had similarities. There's no doubt for me that we have turned the corner and fun times are ahead.

So I'm finally watching the game. How do we get up 17 points on a bad team, at home, and let them come back?

Yep. Muschamp would have found a way to lose 8 or 9 games with this team we are fielding. CBJ is doing a very nice job holding this together I think.

I don't get why people routinely mention Dooley has if that is any kind of measuring stick.

Especially when Crowder's playing instead of Jones.

Dobbs mentioned in the postgame about feeling like they relaxed too much with that lead and they let up on the gas a bit. UT's not good enough to relax on either side of the ball.

Alabama has embarrassed three teams that were in the top 10 at game time, yet they lost at home to Ole Miss and almost lost to us.

Does that means Saban can't coach?

Discuss.

Same reason why people tried to compare Cuonzo Martin to Bruce Pearl. He was our last coach. You also have to consider the state of the program when the new coach was hired. At this point, when it comes to recruiting, we can compare Butch to Phillip Fulmer. Hopefully, more wins come with it.
