To Protect and to Serve...

My guess is what she was charged with versus what they heard and saw....the definitions of the charges are as follows:

Involuntary manslaughter usually refers to an unintentional killing that results from recklessness or criminal negligence, or from an unlawful act that is a misdemeanor or low-level felony (such as DUI).

Voluntary manslaughter: (also referred to as third-degree murder), sometimes called a crime of passion murder, is any intentional killing that involves no prior intent to kill, and which was committed under such circumstances that would "cause a reasonable person to become emotionally or mentally disturbed".

My guess is they viewed her actions as gross incompetence

Gross incompetence is setting up heavy equipment incorrectly at a job site and getting someone killed. Shooting someone in the back while they're laying on the ground not resisting and you're pumping electricity in them nonstop is at the very least manslaughter. The idiots on that jury should be ashamed of themselves.

From what Ive read it was two things that lead to acquittal. First, he kept moving his hands. Second, the fact that the couple of seconds leading up to the shooting were off camera. So basically what she says happened, happened.

I guess the fact that his hands kept moving because she kept shocking his ass is irrelevant. If you notice when she's not shocking him, he keeps them fairly still and above his head.

The best part is, I would imagine at least a few, if not half of them, are probably feeling pretty good about themselves for backing law enforcement.

Can a homeowner perform surgical procedures on someone? the answer is no bc they are not a doctor just like you cant perform the duties of a cop bc you are not a cop.

So you answered my original question... they are trained to shoot people in the back at the academy.

Thanks

Wasn't talking about this situation particularly but we have heard several times why cant I do what a cop can....its bc its part of their job....in this case the cop was found guilty by the ones you are ranting against and innocent by the civilians.

Who should pay the bigger penalty for shooting someone in the back: the person trained in their profession to protect in serve or the average homeowner filled with adrenalin during a break-in/home invasion?

Hey listen, if aiming for the back is part of cop training, then we probably have the most well trained police force on the planet.

These are your "law and order" voters that (unfortunately) most right-wingers have been catering to since the mid-late 1980's.

You didn't answer my question.

Of course you throw a temper tantrum and refer to your silly joking post when I don't and accuse me of avoiding the tough questions.

Would you prefer she just be executed prior to justice being served?

Is this the question you wanted an answer to? If it is, then it is a ridiculous one. I obviously wnt her to have her day in court.

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? The system protects their own no matter what.

You realize how many of your questions are considered ridiculous? Yet you accuse me of avoiding them.

"Why can't the cops shoot him in the knee? Answer me that GV or are you going to make another joke and avoid the question?"

There's an example of your idiocy that permeates the questions I don't answer.

So the more reasonble option is shoot them in the back as opposed to the knee?

Yeah, that's exactly what I said.

So how many people have been shot in the back by cops this year? You asked me the question, I don't know. Now your turn to answer.

Girl gets raped and a fraternity party…

"Listen... Nobody's trying to say what the guy did was right but all I can say is that I've never worn a mini skirt and a low-cut tank top to a frat party and surprisingly enough I've never gotten raped."

I wonder if he crosses his fingers and thinks "I know this argument is 0 for 100, but maybe it'll be relevant this time!"
Not even close to the arguments I've made in the past when discussing police brutality. The ONLY point I've ever made is that 95 times out of 100 when we see some cop shooting or beating someone it's AFTER the victim has done something really stupid..... By doing so they put themselves into a bad position..... Not sure why you guys cannot seem to wrap your head around this simple concept.
...

still 0 for 100

Before I answer, what number, in your opinion, would be way too many? 5? 25?

Tell me where your "enough is enough" bar is set as compared to the other cop deaths.

Why no discussion on the rancher that got himself killed by police over his bull?

The cops were going to put down this harmless animal.

As with all things, circumstances matter greatly on whether it's a valid shoot or not. Not that you care about that because you'll find fault no matter what. And of course, you'll whine about me evading the question when I can't give you a clear answer as each shooting has it's own unique circumstances.

Again, not that you care nor are inclined to learn about such things so my answer is eleventy billion.

Now how many of the shootings were in the back?

I missed it I guess.

Where the cops in the right?

Details are a bit sketchy at this point. I do know Idaho is different when it comes to guns. It's like seeing a guy with smart phone here, guns are everywhere.

Supposedly he got a call from the sheriffs office and he showed up to put the animal down and the cops fired on him. There is a witness, we will know more in a few days I guess.

Not what I've read.

He showed up pissed they were going to put his animal down. It was an expensive breeder. It was injured and charging the cops and medical personal. They could not get to the people trapped in the car.

He showed his ass and made some shots at them. They returned fire.

First ever police shooting in the county.
