Can anyone tell me why crowder got the nod over jones. And it looks like that will be the case again this week.

Does jones just not want to play to frosh next to each other on the line?

They were road grading people.

Confuses me too.

Crowder five holding a relative hostage, IMO.

There's been at least one touchdown each game ran behind the duo of 66 and 76 when they've been paired.

I've got a question for anybody that has a clue about special teams football:

Is the main purpose of the up man in a kickoff return (in our case Micah Abernathy) to essentially lead Evan Berry through the open lanes like a pilot car? Make it easy for Evan?

Obviously it doesn't always work that way and 29 finds his own seam. But I just ask because Micah seems like the last guy I would want blocking the guy who breaks through the return wall.

Considering I'm only talking about his passing, there are 8 QB's in the SEC alone with better passing % and QBR.. I realize numbers aren't everything but, bottom line, he sprays the ball around a bit..

I love Dobbs but I'm not blind. I hope he works this out because with his legs and smarts he would seriously be on Heisman watch.. Not to mention the offense would be deadly.
You guys sound like nitpicking, whiny ass Carolina Panthers fans.. STFU and enjoy having a special, and dynamite player...

I don't know how people still put the UF and OU loss on Dobbs. Smdh.
Because you are reading more than what people are saying!SMDH. You didn't hear me say it was HIS fault. Any loss involves more than one person, be it coaches or players. But, the point remains, he has been relatively inconsistent all year long...except for maybe the Bowling Green and Western Carolina game. He's had lengthy spells in almost every game where he looks more like a liability than an asset. Again, I have been a big Dobbs fan up until the last handful of games...when his erratic play has been extremely frustrating.

I'm not calling for Dormady. I just wish Dobbs would somehow find a way to consistently play up to his potential. You cannot deny it's been a mixture of good and bad...not just an errant pass or two, each game. If you are objective, you also have to admit that if he had been consistent in each game, that would have helped offset some of the other mistakes that cost us close games.

Let's get something straight here, smartazz. You aren't running a damn here. If I want to express my point of view about a player, I don't need your f-ing permission. You got that? Good. Now go sit your happy arse down and STFU. This is a message board for people to voice their opinions, whether you agree with them or not.

Define better, He has had moments that he is the best in the SEC, better than Dak but he also has his moments that he looks like a freshmen lost on the field.
He doesn't have just momentary relapses. Look at the UGA game, as an example. He had a long stretch in the first half, where he looked like Nate Peterman did against UF a few years ago. Before Josh Smith made that big catch, down 24-3 (looking like a blowout) with about 2 minutes to go in the half, he was having an awful day.

That catch somehow sparked the playmaker in him, and he played like the Astro Dobbs we saw against USCjr, last year. That is what is so frustrating. The gap between the dynamic playmaker and the erratic QB who is playing like a Community College QB is pretty large.

I just wish the staff could help him level it out, to where he can show consistency. Make the throws all game long, that you should make. Nobody is expecting perfection, nor for him to complete the really difficult throws, all the time. Just hit the open receiver when they are open and he has time to make the throw.

I thought Micah has been great in that spot this year. He plays physical and I've rarely seen him miss on blocks.

Oregon - Bellotti to Kelly was a great transition, though Bellotti staying in the administration likely helped with that

Yep, that's one. I believe Kelly was in-house though, right? Also, that would be the same scenario for Jimbo, who was another of the positives. Not many comments on this subject, but I still think your chances of having a worse scenario, when firing a guy who is a legend, or 8 win average guy is 80%.

Please name a QB in the SEC other than Dak that's better than Dobbs?

That's all I'm saying. We have the 2nd best QB in the conference. And he'll be back next year.

Be thankful we have Dobbs rather than pining for someone else.

Ole miss qb. He's only thrown for 300 yds almost every game this year. Just because you're the fly sitting on top of the pile of crap doesn't mean you don't stink. Being one of the best qbs in the sec isn't saying much this year. I really hope there's an open qb competition next year so the best qb (whoever it may be) gets a chance to play.

Maybe Micah is the best choice of people who can actually run with Berry speed wise.

Kelly is hot garbage and when he's played against decent defenses, he's folded. Don't give me that Bama stuff either because I've never seen luckier crap ever.

Dude flings it up for grabs whenever pressured.

Guy put up 300 passing and 100 rushing in more than one game. Only two other players have done it(Tebow and Johnny Football). Our fans bxtch and moan over any pass that hits the ground. We wouldn't win a game in SEC play this year without him. His legs are making defenses pay for loading up on Hurd.

Please Please Please LSU beat Alabama Saturday. All the Cfb talk is gona be playoffs the rest of the season and I'm getting sick of Bama talk already. A perfect November for me would be Vols win out and Bama, OSU, FSU, Florida, Notre Dame all being eliminated from the playoff picture.

Next week I think we are going to have the same puzzling questions about Kendrick playing over hall

Oh and another thing, Evan Berry is better than CP as a kickoff returner. He breaks just as many tackles and has better straight line speed. No one even comes close to making up ground on him. He's covers 5 yards in two strides.

Correct. When there is an incomplete pass there is a plethora of Dobbs sucks, can't throw, etc.

Hiring a new guy after a long term successful coach is a very risky proposition. Doesn't matter what the university's name is.
