Let's say we go 9-4 this year and win 10+ next year.

Does Dobbs become the third-most popular modern-era Vol just behind Peyton Manning and Eric Berry?

Absolutely. People love to love QBs. And he's intelligent and a good person. He's unique.

I am really going to miss his playmaking ability when he is gone. The guy is special. He is very quickly moving up the list on my all time favorite Vols.

If we win out including a bowl win against a national name(Mich, FSU, etc.), then the hype machine for Dobbs name associated with the Heisman will begin. If we win 10 next year, that most likely means we made it to the SEC championship game. If that happens, I think we could surmise that he put up good enough numbers to be a finalist for the Heisman. IF that happens, then yes he will be right up there with those mentioned.

Many ifs to come, but I like where this is headed.

USCjr's message board, Cockytalk, has devolved into a dumpster fire. Most of their fans are predicting a loss on Saturday, and some are predicting a blowout loss. There is a lot of self-deprecation, and frustration over how they're going to get their "faces rubbed in the dirt" by the Vols for yet another year.
That's how it should be from now going forward.

I don't think Bruce was considered a running back. Did Butch say it BEFORE Fils-Aime committed? If you know that it's been said "several times" I won't call you a liar, but TBH Butch hasn't brought up much of his recruiting strategy in the past...at least numbers wise.

The 6-foot, 170-pound running back/wide receiver posted 1,381 total yards, accounting for 21 touchdowns. He also was a standout defensive back, and said Wednesday he isn’t sure where he’ll play at Tennessee.

“Butch Jones says I’m playing running back, but Coach (Zach Azzanni) keeps filling my head with receiver stuff,” Bruce quipped.

Wow

I know we're getting ahead of ourselves. But if we finish out this year on a six game winning streak as we should

Then next year:
We start with appy state, va tech, and Ohio.

So we should definitely be on a 9-game run by then.

Then we have Florida, @UGA and then @a&m. You could say we have a good chance at being favored in all three.

If we do pull those out, we would be on a 12-game winnin streak going into bama in Neyland. It could be the longest in the nation by that point. Or one of the longest. We would also likely be in the top 5 at that point too. Hype city.

Gotta take care of bidness of course. But still...GO BIG ORANGE!!!

I hope hope hope Georgia hires somebody who has NEVER been a head coach.

Edit: and before a buttsniffer mentions richt hadn't been a head coach, let me remind you that the landscape in 2015 is much much different than 2000.

If that happened and we were to go into the Bama game at Neyland undefeated next year.....I would have to wear some adult diapers to the game.....I would be so hyped and nervous that my stomach would be gurgling doodoo throughout my digestive system so much....:pepper:

Sounds like a resounding ?...:dunno:

Chatsports? Not sure how legit is saying Eason and Nauta (package deal evidently) are contacting other schools. Michigan, Bama, Florida, and Notre Dame. I'd rather they go to Georgia than Florida.

And Michigan over the other options.

Well the Knoxville QB club luncheon was a little disappointing. John Cooper (who happens to be my second cousin) is a very nice guy. Hadn't seen him in several years, probably since his mother's funeral 15-20 years ago. His speech was all Buckeye. Got nauseating at times. Gave the Vols little or know props. Talked about Urban Meyer as if he was a God. Said he and Nick Saban were the two best coaches in college football. Here's a few highlights:

Best stadium in America: OSU
Best game day pageantry: OSU
Top Coaching Jobs: 1. USC, 2. Texas, 3. OSU, 4. Alabama, 5. LSU. Did say UT was a top ten job.
Best facilities: OSU, Laughed when he said they had multiple strength coaches and even a nutrutionist. Also said they were on the cutting edge of technology because their players had trackers in their jerseys. (LOL)

Johnny Majors was there and of course he had to chime in saying that Tennessee was not a top ten job. Said that LSU,FL,GA,AL were all better than Tennessee. He needs to limit his public commentary IMO.

Best part of the gig was Coach Gillespie. He talked about all the running backs and took questions. Someone asked him about Fils-Aime and he he said he couldn't talk about commitments. He did say he loved really good running backs though which got a big laugh.

They also honored Anthony Hancock. Talked to him, he's a nice dude.

Tennessee fans give us far less respect than other fanbases do. When we start winning and we will, they'll all say we have the best of everything on your list. There is absolutely nothing OSU has on us other than winning right now but winning effects perception of other things such as facilities, pageantry (laughable he had tOSU as that high as no one does) etc.

That said, anti-pep talks can sometimes drive donors and if that happens all the better. Spend some coin and make us even better (though facilities wise that's hard to do).

Bama
OSU
FL
GA
LSU
USC
Texas
Tennessee
Michigan
Notre Dame

To me, in no particular order, this is the top 10 jobs in college football.

I think aTm moving to the SEC has pushed them way up the list too. Right now, I would put them at 11, or......swap them and us and put them at 8 and us at 11.

In all actuality though.....we're probably somewhere between 10 and 15 right now. Bama is definitely up there somewhere too.

I forgot about Oklahoma! Yeah I'd say we are between about the 8 and 11 best job if I had to put a number on it.

I'd definitely add Oklahoma and Texas A&M, probably add in Auburn. UCLA. TCU. All in that top 15 range, IMO.

Edit**- Completely forgot about Clemson and FSU. I'd put both over us right now, probably. We're right around 15 IMO.
