My coaching shuffle wish list. Kirby to UGA, Fuente to USCw(as far as possible), Kiffin to Hawaii( for my dear Layla), Chip Kelly to Miami ( for HG) he could absolutely dominate there imo, Richt to USCe(keep him around)

Wow. If UGA does pull the trigger on Richt, that would be:

USCw
USCe
UGA
Miami
Va Tech
Texas (possibly? Haven't heard the latest speculation here)

Man, those are some pretty good gigs. I know there are some other job openings too for lower schools. Not To mention jobs that will open up from coaches jumping to one of the jobs above. And not to mention ones that may still open as the season closes.

Will be an interesting offseason. Hope we stay out of the big drama for a long time.

How nice is it to finally be on the other side of this? Wow, stability is fun! We all get to sit back and watch the show after the season ends.

Deserves many, many more likes...
How many decades has it been since Tennessee was a few plays from undefeated?
Enjoy the improvement, buckle in for a wild ride of high scoring wins in the next 4 games. Then get ready to watch our Vols dominate some poor team unlucky enough to be chosen to showcase Tennessee's talent in a bowl game.

Yeah, if we win out, we will be able to get healthy before the bowl game… Not good for the opposing team.

Richt allowed UGA to totally miss the opportunity to get a ring with UT and UF down for the past few years. Let Mizzou of all teams to have their glory days. That window has closed. They could still do it but will be very hard now. This should be enough to make a move. Hopefully they get their Muschamp.

Let's say Peyton did want to get into coaching in the NCAA one day, would he have to give up all the commercial gigs? Skinny legs n such.

Coaches make commercials...there's usually not a demand for assistant coaches doing so. :)

I want to see Evan Berry break UT's return record this weekend.

Better kick returner at UT, Evan Berry or Corderelle Patterson?

Good question. Stats wise...Evan. Evan doesn't have the moves that CP had. Evan probably has a better unit blocking for him.

Patterson...but not by much.

Agree.

Always looked like Patterson got his big returns by himself. He'd find a crease and then make something ridiculous happen.

Berry has been great, but this return team deserves a ton of credit as a unit. On that return against Kentucky, all Berry had to do was follow Abernathy down the lane and be fast. The blockers did the hard part; nobody even touched him.

I want FSU in a bowl.

Excellent choice!

FSU heralded the pinnacle for CPF. No one could guess that we would slowly spiral down from there. In less than 10 years, it was awful...

Let a bowl game thrashing of FSU herald the beginning of TENNESSEE dominance for at least a score of years!

Got to give Patterson credit for his freakish athleticism, but Berry is so good at reading his blocks and never slowing down. I love when he brings it out. Most of the time I yell at guys for bringing it out from five deep. I practically beg Berry to do it.

Good point OG. The whole ST unit seems to be in really great form. Credit to the coaches.

And special teams as a whole had about as good a game as you could possibly ask for. Returns for touchdowns on a punt and a kick. Had a kick return tackled at, what, the eleven? Medley even hit his only try at 44, and it was pretty down the middle. Just about flawless.

Hard to beat the Vols when they can game you at each phase. Bring on VT with that special teams hoopla.

Gotta go with Evan. He seems to have that special combination of speed and power. I'd call CP more "electric" though.

That's the key point you just nailed. Patterson crafted practically every one of his gems BY HIMSELF. Elder has done an excellent job with the superior athletes on his ST unit, so it's easier for Berry...but he's something special.

So is this inevitable or what?

Peyton coaching here? I would have mortgaged my house to fund a bet against it before this season, but with his recent statement, this may have legs. Brilliant football mind... Thought he'd use it as an analyst post career.

They are both so much fun to watch. I love that we have a guy right now we can even compare to CP in some way.

I wonder if SC will even let Berry touch the ball. I'd probably just kick it out of bounds and concede the 35. Return game is strong.

Yes, I liked old Fred, both on the movie screen and in the political arena.

As to Richmond, Hubbs said last night that he was frustrated with red shirting but thought he would be just fine.

That's good you want a guy mad because he thinks he can play.

Could go either way. After living football nonstop 24/7 he may find it hard to slow down, or he could have a few months rest and realize how awesome retirement is.
