Plus: Another big improvement this year is that the team almost won in every loss. No blow out losses. Not even losses where the game was over early in the 4th quarter. We were right there in every game until the end.

When is the last time TN had zero losses of more than 7 points in a season?

Answer: 1998 (zero losses)

(1996 was last time TN had a season that included losses, but none were more than 7 points).

Pretty impressive for this team IMO. It's been a long time around here since we have had a team that went toe to toe with every team on the schedule.

Well, there's still time. Maybe Brandon Wilds will go full on beast and we lose to USCjr by 10.

Not the likeliest scenario, but possible.

Still, so far, so good :)

Eric Berry left early because he wanted to help his family financially. That might impact Sutton's and JRM's decision, too. Peyton had no financial pressures, so his decision was unencumbered. It would be great to keep Sutton and JRM one more year. That would be the best team we've had in a long time.

I am no Dobbs hater.. He is one of the most electric running QBs I have ever seen. He has way to many bad passes to be truly great though. He is very good...he could be all-time great. That is my position. Some of that could be due to not being on the same page as his receivers...I agree. We could seriously be unstoppable. I wish he was better when scrambling, at still looking to pass ala Manziel. It is what made him so good in college.

Hoping he has a breakout year next year with hopefully an improved line.

Good point.

Any scenario where we could have a re-match Oklahoma in a bowl? Would like to smack them around (for a full 4 quarters)...

According to this depth chart- 2015 Tennessee Volunteers Football Depth Chart | Ourlads.com

In the two deep we lose on offense: Von Pearson, Johnathan Johnson, Kyler Kerbyson, Alex Ellis, and Mack Crowder. (Not counting Marcus Jackson or Pig)

In the two deep we lose on defense: Brian Randolph, LaDarrell McNeil, and Owen Williams. (Not counting Sutton, JRM, or Maggitt)

We will have growing pains at LT, safety, and temporarily at DT depth wise (Owen has been on point will miss him).

If UGA fires Richt, and bombs the hire, get ready for the late 90's again, where Tennessee battles Florida for the East and everyone else is an afterthought

Tired of media whining about Peyton being washed up, when the team was undefeated. He looked spectacular tonight..

RIP, Senator Fred Thompson. Without this devolving into a political debate, I wish he would have made it into office a few years back.

Yes, I liked old Fred, both on the movie screen and in the political arena.

As to Richmond, Hubbs said last night that he was frustrated with red shirting but thought he would be just fine.

Give the man WRs that will be healthy every week. Give him a veteran WR group. Give him a true No.1 then I'll agree with you. UGA game he was fitting passes in windows and our guys were dropping them. Then our fans started whining when a frustrated QB misses a WR. Be fair to the dude.

During the arkansas game out WRs showed they had some pregame popcorn with extra butter with all those drops

Wow. If UGA does pull the trigger on Richt, that would be:

USCw
USCe
UGA
Miami
Va Tech
Texas (possibly? Haven't heard the latest speculation here)

Man, those are some pretty good gigs. I know there are some other job openings too for lower schools. Not To mention jobs that will open up from coaches jumping to one of the jobs above. And not to mention ones that may still open as the season closes.

Will be an interesting offseason. Hope we stay out of the big drama for a long time.

Following Richt at UGA won't be fun, so some coaches might balk at it just like the job at Tennessee after Fulmer left.

They need UGA QB or Coker from Bama. Bet some of them would trade Dobbs for boneheaded Chad Kelly. None of those QBs would produce at Tennessee. Dak Prescott is the only one I think could produce here. But I wouldn't trade Dobbs for any of them. .

Ugh, Chad Kelly. I can't stand him.

He may well play out the year like a beast, but the guy seems like he's a ticking time bomb. He's bound to do something massively stupid either on the field or off any time now.

There is really no reason why Georgia should struggle at all, especially with the incredible players that they have had when both Florida and Tennessee are down.

Our fans complain more than any fan base I've seen. Dobbs throws a bomb "it was lucky". Dobbs produces 400+ yards of total offense "he needs to do more". We rush for 250 on Florida "O-line is the weak link". Just shut up sometimes and enjoy being good..... :)

Deserves many, many more likes...
How many decades has it been since Tennessee was a few plays from undefeated?
Enjoy the improvement, buckle in for a wild ride of high scoring wins in the next 4 games. Then get ready to watch our Vols dominate some poor team unlucky enough to be chosen to showcase Tennessee's talent in a bowl game.
