Maybe there's been a shift in Beamer love? Fresh approach with new hire. Foster's star was bright when VT was successful...since they've slipped somewhat, more of the same ole same ole might not sound as promising.

Refs get paid a decent amount especially SEC/ACC/NFL etc. a lot of them have other jobs because they're working a few months of games a year, might as well have another job. A lot are very smart guys and have very good jobs such as being a lawyer.

I thought when they had the strike a couple of years ago I heard that there were a couple of full time crews and everyone else was part time.

I remember Gault and Dale Carter being special but damn we are incredible.

It's funny that after UT goes 8-4 the losers on here will post over and over about "Butch didn't win any big games. Couldn't close those out. Blah blah blah." This will be their negative loser talking point. Yet, most of them predicted 7-5 or 6-6 record this fall. LOL

When all these mid-major coaches that are doing well get snatched up and take some of their higher level coordinators with them, I see it being the open door for Azzani to take an OC or even HC position at some low tier school.

It was like the people predicting we were gonna get skull-dragged by Alabama showing up after the game to mock people for "moral victory" talk. Yeah, we lost, but you didn't even believe the team would compete, so shut up.
