Two wrongs don't make a right.

Not in life but in football that is how you take care of it so others will think twice. It is not pretty but is part of the code. That is why with few exceptions with suh being one, they don't cheap shot in the NFL. They know it is how the guys put food on the table.

Yeah, it's a ridiculous notion. Butch is about 300 days away from fielding the best Tennessee team in nearly 15 years. He's in position to become a legendary Tennessee coach for bringing us out of the gutter, whereas at VT he would have to start over and follow a legend.

Wait, didn't you give up on this whole staff like just a month ago?

Hence that whole lack of an avatar thing you've got going on.

I believe NFL, MLB, and NBA are all year around full time employees of their sport. Most NCAA officials hold other full time employment.

No not the case.I am friends with a guy that is a US Marshal and a NFL ref.

Part of the code? Are we talking about the mob all of a sudden?

Then it's on the SEC. They are making millions and millions of dollars but evidently don't care what the on-field product looks like as long as we fans keep ponying up. They should make it a full time job or at least pay enough for it to be an incentive to be better at their job

They are not full time in the NFL. That has been discussed though.

I am not sure the NBA is either. Obviously, they work a lot between October and May, but I think some of those guys have other occupations.

Yeah, MLB and NBA are year round but NFL is not. Was a talking point during the ref strike a few years back. They always talk about the fact the Pipes Hochuli is a lawyer during the offseason.

As a general rule, I refuse to engage in a discussion with anybody that does not acknowledge Dobbs struggles with accuracy as a passer because they are either deeply biased or don't understand what they are talking about. Either way, its not a recipe for a constructive discussion. Even many of his completions display inaccuracy. WE/RB/TEs constantly have to make adjustments and catch the ball on the perimeter of their catch radius. We lose run-after-catch yards. He throws a number of passes each game that miss badly. Dobbs is a very productive QB who does some things better that just about any QB in the country. Definitely the QB that makes our offense click right now. But accuracy is not consistent. That is clear.

I agree. His inaccuracy was very apparent last night. He missed some wide open receivers very badly, it was driving me nuts! Then he gets lucky and hits Malone on a 75-yarder. It's always an adventure when Dobbs throws it down the field

Eason has a great arm, but to think he will come in as a true freshman after the level of competition he faced in HS is fool's gold. Not that mobile, either.

He's no Freddie Kitchens.

And Richt is toast

Apparently there aren't a lot of posters here that understand how classic your comment is. I gave a like on that one.

NO. At least not from me; I was not denigrating anyone. I simply asked at what point does inaccuracy outweigh all the other fantastic skills. Stop overreacting on this question!

LOL that CBJ will go to VT or Miami. Now if he happened to be an SC alumnus, that would be concerning.

You don't work around the clock to field a championship team, then leave when your hard work is about to pay off. 2016 will be a big year at UT, and the whole staff knows it. Either we upgrade a few assistants or the staff stays fully intact for another year, IMO.

Wonder if the Miami job will trickle down to Kiffin? He and Layla are much more South Beach than Tuscaloosa.

I agree unless the "noise" he has mentioned has really bothered him and his family and the difficulty of winning in the SEC is seen as a challenge that won't allow him a long career has really put a bad taste in his mouth for knoxville

Him working with the WRs has been telling to me. Shows that he is still willing to work and get better. Not usually what a person who has a bad taste in their mouth does. So I think we are good there.

Any coach in the country would have been criticized the same way if they lost in the same fashions with the same roster. I'm sure he can handle it.
