Oh man I am just now seeing all the Duke-Miami stuff. Holy hell what a terrible refereeing job. I thought our guy getting ejected for targeting after replay showed that he clearly didn't was bad, but the Duke thing is the worst I have ever seen

Except for the targeting call, did y'all notice how many holding calls went against the team playing opposite us? Are we becoming a favorite of the SEC home office? Should be for the rest of the season at least. Next year could be the start of something big if we get the calls!

Still aren't calling enough holding penalties against whoever is blocking Barnett. A lot of those holding calls came following the botched targeting call. The refs kept trying to make up for their huge screw up.

I believe NFL, MLB, and NBA are all year around full time employees of their sport. Most NCAA officials hold other full time employment.

Makes no sense. The statement from the ACC says that they did not review the block in the back, and that the head ref didn't properly communicate it. Said that the penalty was waved off after they conferred with each other on the field and determined the block was from the side. However, they did admit that the crew missed another block in the back, as well as the guy that was down before he lateraled the ball.

Yeah, it's a ridiculous notion. Butch is about 300 days away from fielding the best Tennessee team in nearly 15 years. He's in position to become a legendary Tennessee coach for bringing us out of the gutter, whereas at VT he would have to start over and follow a legend.
