I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see Hurd come back. If you look at all of the running backs that'll be coming out in that class, Fournette, Chubb, Perine, Dalvin Cook, Royce Freeman, ect., It wouldn't be too outlandish to see him come back for his senior year to jump up the draft boards.

That's a good point. It would be great to have both of those guys through 2017.

Hurd is a special talent. He'll be the 2nd RB picked in 2017.

Sorry about all the rambling last night. The Modelos were flowing.
Phones and such things should have a breathelizer to unlock keypad.

Sooo, you agree with me? I agree, the constant rotating of guys and the ridiculous sprinter's stance they assume pre-snap are inexplicable.
Lol. Yeah the way I worded it seemed like I was disagreeing but I was adding onto what you stated. I'm just so disappointed with the performance there given the talent.

The little logos beneath our user names and avatars are badges, right? Anyway, does anyone know if Freak has a paper bag I can put on the head of my Dolphin badge??

You ain't lying. Smh. We left there with everyone injured. Including Tannehills fragile confidence. Dude is so inconsistent. He's not a QB for a playoff team. Need a new one. Just send a baked potato out there

Yep...the past 2 weeks I let my optimism grow a little. But, last night was a dose of reality...they're a 10 loss team this year...the tough part of the schedule is still ahead of them.

Tannehill isn't the answer, they have a somewhat below average OL and holes in the defense. Oh, and they also have questions about the coaching.

But, other than that, the future is bright...

If someone told me that one of the teams from the tax slayer bowl would be ranked in the top 10 mid way through the season i would have bet the house it was Tennessee.

Have you seen their schedule? We'd go 12-0 with that schedule. Their toughest games are Pitt, at Wisconson, and at Northwestern. They don't play OSU, Michigan, or Mich St. Pitt is the only team on their schedule currently ranked in the top 25, and they're ranked 23-24 depending on the poll. Iowa barely beat them at home by a field goal.

Yep

Looks like getting manhandled in a bowl game helped them getting prepared for a big season. Similar to us verses Nebraska

If healthy, I don't see much chance that Hurd is here beyond his Junior Year. A big back like that takes too many hits and the shelf life can be limited. It would be in his best interests to go regardless of who else is available. too risky to come back when you know someone is going to grab you in top 3 RDs and play you day 1 in most cases.

I am a very realistic person, but I've got a feeling we are about to blast Kentucky. Something like 49-17

I'm with you on the realism. I tend to agree with the blow out of UK with the provision that Butch/Debord keep the training wheels off Dobbs and have more balance to the O. Any regression by them and it could get testy on the road.

The UK D will be swiss cheese if they stay balanced. The UK receivers get rattled with hard hits and drop a lot of catchable balls. That puts it on Williams at RB. Our D should take care of business and start the run of W's. Have to show up though.

Or they have played a bunch of nobodies, the best of which is Pitt-- a rather bad team-- who they barely managed to beat at home.

But naaaaaa, the answer couldn't be that simple.

Well they played a bunch of nobodies last year as well. That didn't turn out as well

Success is relative for sure and they are having it well above their recent history

Not even close. Our SOS was 20 for the 1998 season. Iowa's is currently 37, and probably dropping through the rest of the year.

Edit: The FPI SOS is a number on a 100 point scale (the lower the number, the tougher your schedule, so the 94 is still very weak).

Kentucky has beaten only 1 team with a winning record this year and that was a come from behind win in overtime to Eastern Kentucky from the mighty OVC.

The only thing scary on this Halloween night is going to be the score Tennessee puts up against the Wildcats and Hurd will be haunting that soft, D line in their sleep for the next week.

47-21 Big Orange!
