Baulks shooting in practice. Shooting 40 percent from three.

From VQ...
Punter at PG, Baulkman on the wing and Moore at the 4 are pretty much locked in. Hubbs/Mostella are battling for the other wing spot, with Barnes really pushing Hubbs to be that guy. At the 5 it's been neck and neck, this week Barnes seems to be leaning more towards Kasongo, but it's close. The staff likely wouldn't start Phillips out of the gate, but there is no doubt they really love what they're getting from him and are pleased with his work. Just to depress everyone, they're saying Turner really would help this team, would slide Punter to the 2 and Turner the 1 where he has been very good and is showing a very strong perimeter shot. Looking forward the staff really likes the idea of Bone and Turner on the floor together playing in an uptempo style.
So my guess on rotation early on:
PG: Punter 30/ Phillips 10
SG: Hubbs 20/ Mostella 20
SF: Baulkman 30/ Hubbs 10
F: Moore 30/ Reese 10
C: Kasongo 20/Alexander 20
Leaves Schofield and McGhee as your 10&11 guys, I think you see McGhee get minutes at the 4&5 based on foul trouble.

Based on early reports, I think Kasongo is more likely to be in the third spot at 5 than Jabari. Sounds like Kasongo has been disappointing to say the least, and we know McGhee will bring the intensity. They certainly are preparing everyone for Alexander to start there. Really curious about Reese. Apparently, he hasn't practiced much because of injury. I'm thinking McGhee may be ahead of him at the 4 as well.

I understand Alexander has impressed in practice, but I think McGhee is definitely going to get run because of his rebounding at the very least. Right now my guess would be McGhee getting 10-15 minutes a night.
It wouldn't shock me once Alexander gets his feet wet and McGhee gets more comfortable if Reese gets run out of the rotation.
I'm still nervous as ****ing hell about point guard. Punter is a nice two guard off the bench in the SEC. Having him as your starting PG and primary ball handler just screams disaster.

Moore is short too but can rebound the ball. Too much stock is put into height and rebounding. Strength, hustle, and postioning outweight height imo. Stokes and Maymon were shorter than pretty much every big they went against but they used their strength to out rebound taller players almost every game. Same can be said about Moore and Mcghee, they don't have as much strength as JM and JS, but they know how to block out and where to be at the right time.Fwiw on Jabari, VQ says they asked around and Jabari is legitimately only 6'5", apparently the hair makes him look taller.
