Any ideas who "Rupert" may have been?
Apparently a prominent member of 1950s-? American political cliques (but not necessarily a politician) that served in the Pacific during WWII.

My initial thought was JFK, but he wasn't in intelligence, as far as I know. Plus, I think Schindler would have at least conceded Rupert was a politician of some degree. I'm not familiar enough with 1950s politics to know any significant donors and/or ideologues that may have been palling around with the bigwigs in Washington.
