Well then I question the ethics of these connected posters. If true, and they would rather just share the info on a message board, then they are as guilty for not reporting if "true."

If the punching story is true, it sounds like it really backfired on Jones.

It would have been better stroy if it ended with Crowder yelling back "No mellon farmer, THIS is being tough!" and then he powerbombed Jones.

Um... Administration has tried to force it not to come out maybe? I'm not in the know but aware of those that are and paying close attention to what they say.

If this is true, Dave Hart should do the following (but won't):

Offer him $1 million to resign at the end of the year. If he refuses, fire him for cause, reveal the assault to the public, and he will likely never coach Division I football again.

BAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA no offense, but this would be a terrible course of action.

1. This is basically blackmail. That's a fireable offense and a lot of bad publicity waiting to happen. And illegal. Yeah, illegal is probably the biggest pet of that.

2. If we fire him for cause, we don't have to pay him a dime!

3. A cover up by our AD of a coach assaulting a player is baaaaad bad juju.

Yes. Watch last night's presser. He is wound extremely tight. While I could believe his temper would blow, I can't believe the university would cover it up. That comes with all sorts of legal ramifications.

The buyout and how well Butch can coach an actual game are irrelevant to me if there is any substance to support these rumors. What is relevant is how he handles and treats the young men entrusted to him when behind closed doors.
