I agree. If this is true it would come out anyway. If false, it only hurts the team.

Seems like a weak ploy to destroy the team In hopes they lose out and butch gets fired.

It's not a rumor if it proves to be true. It's carrying a lot of weight so far between connected posters, and if Jones did punch a player, he should be fired immediately.

If these rumors and sources are credible, not only does it appear Butch doesn't get it. Hell! He appears to be f---ing psychotic!! :eek:hmy:

It's worthy of discussion. Especially considering credible posters (one in particular) stated he heard the same thing on another board.

Agree. This ain't right. If he indeed punch a player he has got to go now. Accusing anybody of a personal assault based on heresay, well that just is wrong. If the facts come out that support him doing this, then like I said he is long gone. Man this whole season is just getting worse and worse.

Hmm...this seems to be complete BS.
Jumper story is plausible.

It's funny that these rumors are popping up now. I'm sure that if we had been 5-0, none of these rumors would have ever existed.

I would not wish this on the program but our coach is a fraud.

maybe. makes a lot of sense that it would come out now. butch isn't on the verge of winning anymore. winning cures everything. thats why it didn't get brought to light before the season. if true hart has to be fired too, for keeping it hidden.

I think it's simply the stress. He's not use to the big time requirements of running a power program. These same expectations aren't the same at Central Michigan and Cincinnati. Every move is under a microscope and every detail is picked with a fine toothed comb. Most people didn't even know who he was before we went after him.

It's not being ignorant. It's realizing these statements go beyond football. Instead of posting this on message boards, police should have been notified.

If it is true, the AD could give him the opportunity to resign (pay him for the rest of the year), and leave--Sooner the better! There are some HS coaches that could and would be doing a better job, don't kid yourselves, CBJ isn't not a good coach. In fact, there are some JC coaches that would be better coaches than Jones, and maybe as good a recruiter. Recruiting is much easier when you have a winning program. I hope we wake up Monday morning with the good news, CBJ has decided to leave TN, for health reasons, and to spend more time with his sick mother.......
