Only at Tennessee where the impact player is a punter. Butch not going anywhere, they don't have the money to rid of him and hire someone new. This is the new reality for TN.

Justin Fuente,,, took Memphis from 3-9 to 10-3 last year...... His Defense sucks but he wins games.

Head coaching change is not happening. But an assistant or two definitely needs to be axed. The staff has got to be accountable for their lack of performance just like they hold the players accountable for theirs.

Just get a goober like florida did and we'll get better results than we are getting now. We don't have to get a big name just a goober.

Go drop a blank check to Art Briles, Willingham, Kelly, or Patterson. Only way to be where we want to be. The cost on the front end would suck but think about the long term.

Would take that hire and run with it. Call me crazy, but Hugh Freeze came from Arkansas State and that has worked out quite well for Ole Miss I'd say.

I wouldn't mind getting an up and comer if we could get the right one this time. Memphis's coach could probably do wonders here.

Since we have a perennial bed-wetter at HC, you think Chip Kelly is a possibility? Since we likely keep Butch one more year (his recruiting will fall to pieces, look for a lot of guys look elsewhere) and the Eagles likely keep him one more year before cutting ties we may be on the market at the same time.

if not what about Cutcliffe or even Fuentes?

Hart will get another cheap mid major coach who will make sure our program stays in the crapper for 3+ more years. At some point it will become less of a down period and more of what this program has become.

Getting a mid-major isn't bad if you can get the right one. Say what you will about Butch (and again, this is premature as the season possibly could be turned around), he has built an attractive roster. If we bring in a mid major coach who can REALLY coach, team 120 could do big things.
