I hope you continue watching because it is fantastic, but realize that there are really evil villains in this show. Also, be weary of getting super attached to characters because this show doesn't play by the rules of normal tv. This show is like real life in that the "good" guys don't always win.

Give it time. You have a lot to learn. The first season is a lot of introduction/background. It can be a bit slow but it's very necessary.
