I posted this in the FF hoping people would read it and apparently that didn't happen.

The coaches didn't know anything 11 weeks ago. They got the final verdict on Friday. The game was on Saturday. Nothing was "dropped on players" nor was it "handled wrong by CBJ".

We Selfreported the violation?

We self imposed the penalty?


If so why did it take over a year to self impose a penalty that took place in 2014?

Also since when does a secondary violation penalty come with a game suspension AND recruiting restrictions?

One other thing Butch alluded to in his presser was that some players on defense neglected to do their job while trying to do someone's else job. I saw that in the game and it pissed me off given that it was coming from the leaders on the defense. Jones stressed and I think we all agree that to be successful on defense everyone has to be disciplined and do his job. When discipline breaks down you no longer have an effective defense. That is on the leaders and that's who I am disappointed in and I'm confident they will step up this week but I also think they're going to need consistent reminding for the next few weeks if team 119 is going to reach it's potential this year.

Bingo. But with the way the world is and how sensitive it is, it's hard to distinguish the difference at times. I was wondering where the griping took place and thought maybe I missed it.

Jumper had a great opportunity on that 4th down conversion early. If he makes that play, then he would surely continue to get a lot of snaps. That was his golden opportunity.

I hope he plays -- why redshirt him and see him leave for the NFL, after the RS soph season ? Or worse, maybe he gets pissed off and transfers to Ole Miss after this season. Put him in along with KM and Kirkland.

Someone needs to inform Tony Barnhart that. On his time on the fan this morning he stated the University received notice 11 weeks ago.

The university could have been notified at any point in the past, but it could be that the final decision of a suspension wasn't made until recently. You really think the NCAA would do it any differently? I would be surprised to hear that Butch knew about a suspension 11 weeks ago based on his preparation and organization. You are bringing out every negative you can right now, and it's stupid. Good times are ahead, and this is the start of the year. Wow, some of our fans have been scarred.

Apparently there are some posters who loved the coaching instability of the last seven years and want nothing more than an excuse to run CBJ into the ground and get some more of it, as evidenced by all these strange ultimatums regarding the OU game.

If we even have a remotely decent year this year we will probably be top 5 next preseason with all the guys that will be back....again......and some people think Butch may not be the guy because of an out of conference game in early September of year 3? This after we just went through the worst stretch in school history and he is following the worst coach in school history.

A Few things that haven't been mentioned from Saturday's game.

Several players that were banged up from Camp, played against Bowling Green.

Evan Berry, Jashon Robertson, Marquez North, Josh Smith, Kendall Vickers, and Khalil Mckenzie are some to name a few.

For those wondering about Dillon Bates, he has been banged up throughout training camp and is still fighting nagging injuries. That has put him behind the 8 ball.

Sort of the same with Kahlil Mckenzie. He has had shoulder issues for the last week and half of Camp, and fought threw it and played against Bowling Green. He figures to get more playing time against OU. Conditioning an issue there.

Even though the O-Line played well, Butch Jones and staff still may look to move some guys around for the best fit.

Staff will look to redshirt Drew Richmond.

PLEASE don't move any OL guys around!! If ain't broke, don't fix it!!

I have expressed concern about two issues today. It sounds like a ruffled your feathers a bit.

I made two observations according to my opinion and news that has been reported.

1. First I shared a opinion, I don't feel our Defense will hold up against OU and feel we lose Saturday. I also stated I hope I'm wrong. Again, respectively having a conversation.

2. From sources as Tony Barnhart, Paul Finebaum and Tony Bassilo ( not great last source I know). The University was told 11 weeks ago. I don't feel the NCAA is going to drop that news on the Friday of Labor Day weekend without giving the University a opportunity to appeal the decision 24 hours before a game.

It seems IMO that you may be the one scarred if it upsets you that someone provides respectful conversation that you don't agree with.

Ya OSU made it look easy on O and D. Hate seeing OSU cruise with so many starters not even playing.

I think Breakerboy said for a while that Berry is better suited at CB or Nickel. That was a bad game for him. I would have liked to see him at CB.

I thought McNeil wouldn't be a big loss, but it sure hurt Saturday. I think TKJr will be good though. McNeil has experience which helps in positioning.

The 2 we lost on the back end is HUGE, a lot worse than we thought.

Cardale Jones is out there throwing beautiful balls and their defense is mauling VT. OSU Oline hasn't looked too good at pass pro though.
