Wtf has happened to this world? Gender neutral UT

I asked a former student about this today. This is what she said.

"No one at UT's taking it seriously. It's just UT trying to become a Top 25 university but we're currently the 4th most unfriendly college to LGBT people apparently. Nobody's using them or pressuring anyone to use them. We got an email about it and Yik Yak blew up but otherwise, everyone else is making a bigger deal about it than we are."

If this kind of lunacy was limited to a single university, I would agree wholeheartedly.

But you see more and more of this each and every day. It's not a UT problem, but a systemic problem with most major institutions in this nation.

I still don't see why that bothers you or anyone else. It's college. **** happens in college. You're exposed to weird things in college.

Can you please define why it is a "systematic problem?" I really want to understand your issue here.

Baylor is #1 least friendly. Princeton Review survey of 130,000 students.

Auburn was #3 and TA&M and Ole Miss rounded out the top 10 least friendly.

I think Stanford was #1 most friendly.

Well it's a good thing that they are working on that because when you go for an interview they're going to ask whats your schools Princeton Review LGBT ranking

They are probably going a little overboard with the sensitivity training, but people have to stop being so "homophobic" especially in schools and in the workplace. It's this century's civil rights issue and I have students who treat the issue similar to their racism. Both are usually taught.
