You are one piece of work I tell you.

It was an old man singing songs. You saw that much yourself, who cares what the restaurant people say or the cops. Use your eyes and common sense for a moment.

I did watch it and he didn't seem like he was leaving.....back when I was a kid a cop told you to put your hands against the wall or on a car and proceeded to handcuff you there....it looked a lot more peaceful....Somewhere along the line...it got determined that it put the officer in danger and probably also the perp so now they guide(force) you to the ground....Its obvious that move is taught as it is used in every single video where someone is being detained.

Like I said before, though I feel fairly confident he was I wouldn't bet my car on it or anything. I also can't imagine how you can say with such confidence he wasn't. What is clear is that he was never, at any point, a threat (outnumbered 3 to 1 and putting his hands up) and if detainment was necessary, which it wasn't, the cop could've taken a few extra second to ensure it happened peacefully.

I totally agree with your threat argument assuming what we see in the video was all there is (if this wasnt an everyday occurrence and on a previous occasion there was an altercation or other threat made). He placed his hand (singular) up after the cop grabbed him, not before if that makes a difference. It appears that the man is mentally ill from what I see.

I thin its more procedural and they may want to look at alternatives bc it seems it bothers most that they are taken to the ground....Im not sure if their is a safer technique o not that they could use.

This was my favorite part...

International sign of surrender?

You go anywhere on the planet and put your hands up and they'll know exactly what your communicating. See my hands, I have no weapons, and I'm submitting. Now, in certain places they'll probably ignore it and attack you anyway (for instance Iraq, Syria, and Allentown Pennsylvania), but they still understood what you meant by doing it.

What's funny is that he knows that but still posed that question like I'm some kind of an idiot for suggesting it.

hats bc in the video he never looked like he was surrendering and you were jumping to conclusions

S.C. investigators refuse to release video of cop shooting - NY Daily News

"Zachary Hammond, 19, was shot twice inside his car at a Hardee's parking lot, where he was on a first date with a 23-year-old woman. HIs family's lawyers, in a letter to U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch and FBI Director James Comey, also claim Seneca police officers desecrated Hammond's body by lifting his dead hand and slapping it with a high-five gesture, WCSC-TV reported Friday.
Lt. Mark Tiller said he opened fire in "self-defense" when Hammond drove toward him during an undercover drug bust. Tiller has been placed on administrative leave pending dual investigations by state and federal agents of the July 26 killing."

So the cop said that he tried to run him over but he was shot the the drivers side window and hit in the shoulder and back.

There is a reason why they aren't releasing the video. It going to show a the cop executing a teenager and him and he buddies desecrating his corpse.

Also the boy had no drugs warrents or anything illegal other than his GF having a small amount on pot. Why in the hell would he suddenly decide to try and run over a cop. This whole case reeks of BS

"In one section, Bland writes that a witness “…states that the officer who opened Zachary’s door and pulled his dead body from the vehicle then went ‘to the trunk of his police car and pulled (SIC) something out. The officer walked back over to the man on the ground rolled him over to his side, put something underneath his body, and then rolled him back.’”
The letter goes on to state, “…a police officer with a neighboring police force has confirmed to SLED that the Seneca Police Department celebrated the killing of Zachary by desecrating his corpse. After Zachary had been shot and killed, member(s) of the Seneca Police Department lifted his dead hand and ‘high fived’ Zachary Hammond.”

This bastard needs go go up for life.

Honestly if Mark Tiller had done that to my son I have no doubt I would have hunted him down and killed him. I would hate that I wouldn't be there for my other kids but I would go to prison for the rest of my life with no regrets. He murdered that boy, planted drugs on him then even acted like he was some type of trophy kill. This story enrages to no end.

You do know that is completely from the victims point of view.....Let the Feds investigate and find out what happened....As for the video being released, they said in the article that it will be released eventually but it's part of an investigation right now....

If it turns out that it happened the way the families lawyer said it did then the cop deserves to be strung up by his testicles.

Yeah true but if it does turn to be true every cop involved should be locked up and the basterd that killed that kid deserves life. How in the hell do you shoot someone in the shoulder and back through the drivers side window and claim he was about to run you over. He was standing at the drivers side window when he fired.

It could happen if you are shooting while jumping out of the way.....like I said its best to wait and see what the Feds find out and the evidence shows....we are still hearing that hands up don't shoot nonsense that was complete BS.

I will offer my comments later on, but what do you guys think?

Ex-trooper coerced sex from women he stopped | The Columbus Dispatch

The sergeant saw the trooper flirt with two women in a car that he’d stopped for suspected drunken driving. Then he turned off his microphone.

It was that September 2013 incident that led this month to charges against now-former Trooper Bryan D. Lee, who authorities say failed to charge women he’d pulled over...

Good thing he did by not charging them. Looks as though he allows them to go free and even offers to take one of them home. Protect and serve...

...in exchange for sexual favors.

Oh...

Gotta go back this far in time to find cops that actually helped someone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQfXPGCYlfI
It all boils down to the way cops are trained these days. Cops are basically being trained like they are in the military. It makes no sense at all to train civilian peace officers like they are about to deploy in a hostel foreign country. They job is to protect and serve their community. These days lots of cops literally treat people they encounter as a possible enemy threat and disrespect or disorderly conduct no matter how minor is to be met with overwhelming and brutal force.

Of course the vast majority of cops are decent people and no matter what you do there will always be bad eggs. What has to be changed is how police are trained. They are peace officers not solders.

I'll say it again... If you are a homeowner and/or concealed carry and you shoot at a fleeing suspect that is either running away from you or driving away from you, what would be the consequences?

If true....the guy was trying to run the cop over....I was just saying he could have been jumping out of the way which could explain the guy getting hit from the side/back but either way I will wait for the official report from the FEDs.

Why bring up just police.....the guy deserves to go to jail but that sort of thing happens in every single profession that has males and females working together.

Are you saying that somebody who is forced by law to pull over for the police is the same as a consenting coworker?

Nope I was saying it happens in every profession where there is a male boss and a female subordinate.....it says ex-trooper for a reason

How often does the boss have a gun and a plausible reason for fondling the subordinate worker?

It's not the same, dude. It isn't even in the same ballpark.
