Bernie Sanders Thread

No, you are allergic to life. You post as if you are a 20 year old pissed at what life is starting to teach you.

Stop being so jelly.

I was just really inspired by your inspirational post man. I found myself looking for another part-time job on the side in addition to the one I already have while being full-time employed, so that I could get of my butt and make something of myself. I didn't understand that in order to get ahead in America all I have to do is work really hard, and that other circumstances like the death of a spouse, a car accident, or a parent moving in with me is my fault and why I can't seem to climb the social ladder. I mean the system can't be rigged to keep me from climbing can it? No way that can be true, because I mean we live in America where everyone has an equal chance no matter the circumstances.

These guys grew up in an America you and I were unable to enjoy.

I'm curious about this. What were you unable to enjoy? What is it exactly that you want? And who do you want it from?

This is a serious question because I don't understand this mindset.

Insurance may have taken care of a couple of your problems. Education maybe another.

Im sorry to hear of your circumstances.
I remember my daddy working multiple jobs growing up. It wasn't easy on him with a widowed mother, 2 kids and being divorced. I don't recall him viewing it as the system being rigged against him tho given those situations. After some changes in direction and a lot of patience (years of it) things worked out very well.

What line of work are you in? If you don't mind me asking.

Or ambition. I just need to have the ambition to make myself successful, and because we live in America I'll be dining with the Rockefeller's in no time.
Who would want to dine with the Rockefellers? I don't.

But, one can be successful with enough ambition, drive, and by making the right choices. The right choices generally don't include a lot of things that a lot of people do.

Reaganomics, NAFTA, corporate greed, income inequality, student loans, etc.

Can you answer my question above? I'm curious of your grievances and what you actually want.

I'd also like to ask some follow ups based on your answers.

Reaganomics, NAFTA, corporate greed, income inequality, student loans, etc.

Let's not forget Jim Crow, segregation, the Cold War, Thalidomide, VietNam and acid rain

suck it up, buttercup, every generation has been faced with problems either of it's own making or the result of failed policies of previous generations

It's not that I personally haven't, but I know the hole (to start with) is deeper for my generation than of previous generations.

On a personal level I totally disagree. Our generation (I fit in the upper half of the age bracket) is full of excuses for it not being quick and or easy.

The previous generations have their own faults but to believe they had it easier from a starting point is ridiculous.

I'm sure some of you have seen this on your Facebook feed. Does Bernie have a plan for growing the private sector?

I can agree with #1, 2 and 5. Provided they don't wreck the economy in the mean time. Incentives for transforming from fossil fuel to renewable. Not dictated.

I can partially agree with #6, 7 and 11. Depending on the situation.

#3 makes no sense. How hard is it to join a union right now?

#4 depends

#8...not going there

#9, isn't that what Obamacare is supposed to do?

#10, not feeling it

Expanding SS should disqualify him from a historical standpoint alone. "Your too stupid let me take a portion of your check and hold it for you".
