One poster over there questions why no qb's were even mentioned in either of their two practice reports. Another poster's serious answer? Possibly a stud qb they are trying to keep a secret. :birgits_giggle:

One poster was saying out of their 5 highly ranked qb's coming out of high school. They should have 2 great ones.

I've said this before, but Vandy does have a very talented kid on their roster at QB. His name is Shawn Stankavage. I followed his recruitment a bit in HS, the kid is like 6'2, has a cannon, and can move. Mason should have been focusing on developing him from the moment he got to campus, but let's be honest, it's Mason. He probably has no clue the kid even exists.

They shouldn't be counting on wins against Houston WKU and MTSU quite yet much less UT and UK. I still think 3-9 overall for them and hopefully worse.

Weren't we recruiting him in that class where we didnt take a QB? If he was that good, why didn't we follow through in trying to get him? From what I remember, he was just okay. Not worth a scholly, at least not from us.

I watched the spring game and he looked pretty bad. Threw one of the worst attempts at a slant route I've ever seen

He had offers from East Carolina, Wyoming, and Vandy. That's it. Vandy's offense will be pure, unadulterated crap this year. Ralph Webb and a tight end. That's it. Their o-line will be okay until mid to late October. That's when the pounding will really start to hurt and my guess is that they start giving up. Especially after Webb's legs are gone. Then I suppose they can start saving themselves for the rival game of the century.

Me and a friend thought about getting a black shirt and getting we don't need your permission put on it in gold and wearing it to the game .

We thought we might stick out since we would look like the only vandy fans there tho

I'm not saying he's UT good, but I do think he has a lot of promise for a Vandy player. If he was bad in the Spring Game, again I think it's because Mason has never bothered to develop him. Who knows what he could be with some work and a real coach.

hes not healthy. Not even practicing either. They are gonna roll with one of their two garbage QBs. Should be fun.
